Most use it for target practice and because they enjoy shooting. Others use guns to hunt game. Many use guns for self defense purposes, whether it be at home or on them.

The American revolution was one of the few great French victories over the British. In other words it is not representative in nature. It is outright dictatorial. So one could say that it has evolved from the failed Marxist/Communist internal structure to Fascism; which makes not one iota of difference to the government's willingness to step on the necks of its own people with big, heavy, boots if it feels threatened by representative democracy agitators. It also does not somehow mean that they are saints where other nations are concerned. It simply means that it is biding its time. The current aggressive posturing over borders and extraterritorial possessions? That presages future militaristic activities.
