    Quite simple really, if there is unemployment in a particular Country then that Country should not allow immigration. The jobs should be forced upon the unemployed of that Country whether they like it or not.

    I understand that is very much a 1930-1950s working-class attitude to immigration - but hey I'm a little bit of a socialist at heart & want to protect my brothers jobs from the cheap labour important by the bosses !!! & encouraged by the faceless EU bureaucrats that want to enslave us all..

    That is perfectly logical, indeed I never understood why Labour always betrayed its own workers by driving down wages by importing millions of workers from abroad. It makes sense for Capitalists like me but the left has been relentlessly anti British worker for decades now

    So basically the ineffectual British Police did nothing to catch the criminals, but tried o claim the credit!

    Since the British Police have withdrawn from on-the-beat policing they are no use to us in case of crimes committed against us ... unless they can perform first aid.

    I thank goodness I live in a low crime region, as I have zero confidence in the UK police.

    And what was the penalty for these thieves mentioned in the report? From our cardboard criminal justice system? a few months suspended sentence.

    We have gone soft on crime in the UK!!!

    It's more complicated than that. Sometimes the immigration does not immediately lead to unemployment, but rather puts downward pressure on wages, and results in rising housing costs in the highly populated regions where the job opportunity is. So living conditions start to get worse, but technically there's still jobs for everyone. That's what happened.

    By the time unemployment finally manifested itself, it was too late.

    Two main reasons:

    1) To get the immigrant vote (most immigrants vote Labour);

    2) To "rub the Right's nose in diversity" as the Labour Party themselves described it.

    That is not what I said, I said if there IS unemployment (meaning it already exists) then no further immigration should take place into that Country.

    If there is a skills gap, then better to train the local population to fill that gap. I was not stating that immigration leads to unemployment, what it does is drive down the wages of the working class.

    I despise the liberal left that ALWAYS try & label people that denounce unfettered immigration as some kind of racists. I'm not saying that is your opinion, but it certainly dominats the BBC-led-left-wing media establishment in the UK.

    Diversity is all well & good, but social cohesion is better.
