Four Chicago men were charged in an early morning mob attack near Wrigley Field, police said.
Witnesses told police a group of men jumped out of a white stretch limousine at 2 a.m. Sunday on the 3400 block of North Sheffield, about a block south of the stadium, and began beating passersby while others videotaped the attack from the inside the limo.
Three men, ages 22, 27 and 27, were injured, police said. One of the 27-year-old victims was treated for a broken jaw at Illinois Masonic Hospital. The others sustained minor injuries.
Police said four or five other men, including the person filming the incident, fled in the limo.
Four men were arrested and charged. Corry Simmons, 32, of the 1800 Block of South Ridgeway was charged with breaking a man's jaw. Donald Robinson, Jr., 31, of the 1800 Block of South Ridgeway; Alvin Goffin, 32, of the 3600 Block of South Rhodes Avenue; and Edward Robinson, 31, of the 1800 Block of South Springfield Avenue were all charged with felony mob action.
Simmons, Donald Robinson and Edward Robinson also were charged with felony aggravated battery.
Police said an officer was slightly injured while taking one of the men into custody. Simmons was charged with resisting a police officer.
The men are scheduled to appear Monday in bond court.

This should surprise no one. It's the new pastime of some to mob beat people and videotape it. It sounds like they were arrested before they could post the video on worldstarhiphop.com.

I wonder what the races of the victims were? Is it a closely guarded secret?

What the hell is up with these mob attacks? What ever happened to men being men, you have a problem with someone - you go mano-a-mano. These cowards are nothing more than animals with a pack mentality. Too bad none of the victims were packing. Offing one of these useless tits would have helped society greatly.

CHICAGO— Four men are due in court Monday for a mob attack that happened in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood.

Three men were attacked by a group of 8 to 10 people, near Clark and Cornelia, Sunday morning.


Corry Simmons, Donald Robinson Jr., Alvin L. Goffin and Edward E. Robinson are each charged with felony mob action.

Police say the four men were part of a group that got out of a white limousine and attacked the three victims.

One member of the group was there to videotape it.

One victim had his jaw broken.

Police made the four arrests after they were identified by the victims and witnesses.

One officer hurt his knee when one of the attackers fought back.

Police said the other attackers either fled in the limousine or ran away.

 

They run in packs like chimpanzees or hyenas. They only target those they perceive as weaker than they.

Looking at the pictures though, they do look really smart. I wouldn't ring a bell curve anywhere near them, but would simply assume they are as intelligent as the average Joe.

 

I agree, but they would have been arrested, since it's not legal to own a firearm in Chicago. These attacks will continue. Thank the Democrats.

It's true, I see that sort of attitude in the Bronx all the time. All the tough guys standing on the corner with their friends, staring everyone down waiting for someone to look at them. It's all well and good because they have 8 or 9 of their boys there, but if they were alone it would be a different story. Cowards in the truest sense.

Just like New York, such a shame.

Maybe you aren't aware, but it's not the 1950's anymore. I was not alive back then and neither were the "men" responsible for these attacks.

Oh and for the record, the men in those pictures were just as big of cowards, if not more so. In fact, I do not even consider them men, they are beasts in my eyes.
