Well sure. And the best way to avoid nuclear war is to have no nukes. But we cant even do that. "The best way to have no gun crimes" is impossible. You need a different solution.

 

And the only other solution I see offered is to go about armed to the teeth and instantly kill anyone who looks at them crosseyed. And why is it impossible to have no guns? You sound like alcoholics when they are told they can't drink anymore. "That's just totally impossible"is the first thing they say. "Surely you cant be proposing we don't drink at all". Alcohol is a necessary part of their lives and they think it's like that for everybody and yet they're often talking to people who just don't drink at all and sometimes never have. The same thing goes for gun addicts. I've lived a long and not uneventful life and not always in protected circumstances yet I've never had a gun or felt the need for one. I'm not the unusual one either. IMO you are.

 

What a completely silly and failed comparison I own one gun and it's never loaded so if everyone is as you say they are we would all be packing it loaded everywhere we went or at least at the house so how do you explain that one?

Probably an attempt to disperse the crowd. Did the crown need dispersing? I have no idea. protests I wasn't there. My take is that the people who participate in political protests aren't at the top of the IQ scale. It doesn't take much to push them in one direction or another.
