60 Torturous Minutes

If you have someone in your life who habitually lies, it is only natural that you doubt or question everything they say. Isn't it?

 

I have watched 60 Minutes for many years. I always watch the first few minutes which show what is going to be discussed, and if it looks interesting I'll watch. If not, I change channels.

They cover some subjects well, but about 80% of what they do is simply provide propaganda for government agenda. Operation Mockingbird lives at 60 Minutes.

 

True, but we shouldn't laugh, because it constitutes a great danger. In a big world, what we think we know of our society and nation comes almost totally from - News. When news loses integrity, ethics and balance, it becomes propaganda. Hitler had a minister of propaganda (Joseph Goebbels) to manipulate the news the German people saw, and was very successful at it. North Korea's people think their nation is righteous and their dear leader a virtual god- thanks to propaganda and the total control of information they can access. This is a weapon on a scale that can be the equivalent of nuclear in power.

Integrity in the press used to be, and should be, a sacred duty. It should also be a legal obligation, because it is all that separates us from those conditions. IF the press won't keep itself honest- by far the best option- then laws may be needed to impose consequences for misconduct and abuse. Intentionally spreading disinformation with the intent of manipulating a society is not the equivalent of free speech.

 

No kidding. We just spent three years being inundated by the media 24/7 trying to convince a gullible plurality that the lawfully elected President of the United States was an agent of Russia WITHOUT ANY EVIDENCE.

Now, in spite of irrefutable evidence, the media refuses to report that the former Vice President of the United States is benefiting from financial ties to the Chinese communist party!

 

And defining themselves by doing so- at least to those who can still think for themselves, and reason independently. The lemmings.... find that too much trouble.

 

While that may or may not be true, it has absolutely nothing to do with the subject at hand.

Trump does nothing that doesn't involve a gain of some sort for his giant, fragile ego.

Since he has some, compared to Obama's negligible own history, why should he NOT brag a bit? Of course you'd rather he wear sackcloth and ashes and scream about his defeats. Not this cycle. Not this winner.

 

Let us examine that very premise as it applies to inner city blacks and the Democrats who rule large cities for decades, with no GOP incumbents anywhere --- yet the blacks are told to blame Republicans for all the lies they hear from Democrats. Lies told over DECADES, mind you, not just this present electoral cycle.

Baltimore and Detroit rank at the bottom of safest or cleanest cities. Both have been under continuous Democrat control for more than 50 years. Unions get away with leaving trash uncollected and other city services ignored. But it's all the Republicans' fault...say the only white faces many blacks in either city ever have contact with at all.

No wonder many blacks mistrust whites, if Dems are what they have to deal with. No wonder they don't believe a word a white person says, told that big a lie long enough by those who benefit most if you fall for it.

 

Don't waste your time. You are wrong and all you can do is make baseless claims playing the race card without evidence or using lies like the "fine people" hoax and so on.

Trump is working with Ice Cube on a Platinum Plan for black Americans and the racist democrats attacked Ice Cube. That says it all.

No, I'm not wrong. Trump is a proven racist and has been his whole life so my "claim" is hardly baseless. Working with Ice Cube? Brilliant, he'll probably get a cabinet position in the next two days. Trump's Platinum Plan is the BS lie. It's like Mexico paying for the wall, the great health care plan etc.

So Biden wanders 30 miles from home for one appearance, then needs a day off. Trump meanwhile makes five stops today and still runs the country. This is not fiction but established fact. Biden can't hack the workload.

Biden is no angel where race is concerned, but he pales in comparison to Trump.
