Hopefully, the Republicans will control congress and put this puppy to bed.
Who would want to go into business or stay in business, knowing the IRS is looking to nail you? Don't bite the hand that feeds you?
Where is the incentive with vultures roaming and waiting to pick your bones?

    As a sidebar:
The FairTax taxes drug dealers and criminals. No other tax proposal does.

Your ad hom attack is noted......

So you cannot refute the OP. Is that why you attack the source?

Sickening, but not surprising. When Democrats hold power, the working-class gets absolutely screwed. Gas prices go up, our 401k’s go down, taxes go up, inflation hits, rent goes up, etc…

This is the kind of crap that makes crime seem justifiable to the masses. And no, Im not talking about violent crime. Im talking about people doing once-legitimate business 'under the table' in effort to compete with the giant corporations that can afford (and lobby for) the regulations that small businesses cant.

The only people who need to worry are tax cheaters.

So why are you so concerned....hmmmmmmmm?????

Why do we see republican after republican objecting to collecting the taxes legally due? It suggests they all have something to hide.

I am an independent so there is that.

We do not need more government. We need less.

The old if you're not guilty you won't mind being investigated sort of thing huh?

You're sitting here making excuses for the growing authoritarian police state.

Maybe if they were going to use them to actually go after the wealthy like they told us they were instead of harassed little people.

If Trump would have done this you would have a completely different opinion and everyone here knows that

Your OP fails. The link refers to the Joint committee on tax saying something.

But the JCT has no statement, that I could find, on their website.
Can you back up the OP claim?

So again, you don't have a link to what your OP article said the Joint committee on tax supposedly said.
Again, their website doesn't state anything about what the OP claims.

It's your OP, you need to make sure it's legit. No one else.
Are you claiming the article is false?

I can tell you, from personal experience, this is 100% untrue. Could not be farther from the truth.

That would be the Fair Tax. No one in Congress wants that. It would put too much control back into the hands of individuals and take control away from the government. Can't have it.

That is just more for the IRS to go after. Is that why democrats expanded the IRS?

Yea, I wonder if the 10% (of millions of dollars) were reported on the "Big Guy's" tax return.

Well, that joint bank account he shares with Hunter easily hides his 10%. Afterall it was said to be held by him on behalf of the "Big guy". How convenient is that for Joe to claim plausible deniability?

Small entrepreneurial businesses are the bane of authoritarian government. That is why totalitarian governors shut them down left and right during COVID and probably deep seatedly behind Biden's siccing the IRS on them.
