    Because in GA if you are part of a group that are committing a felony and someone dies you can be charged with murder too.
    There was one case where there was a robbery and the police shot an killed one of the people involved the others all got charged with murder even though none of them killed anyone.

    If you are looking to ‘shut people up’, a forum where people go with the express intent to voice their views may not be for you.

    I do not know if this is racial or not and try not make judgments without evidence but if you cannot see why many could perceive this as a race based crime or the police action after the crime — at least in part — then you are likely clinching your eyes shut on purpose.

    If the running man had a gun, he could have conceivably displayed his firearm also, and then all 3 armed men would be in somewhat of a Mexican standoff, until one or more transitioned from a legal “open carry” display to pointing the gun. In which case there probably would have been 3 wounded men, if not 1 or more dead just as likely.

    This would NOT be the same if it were 2 uniformed police and the one armed citizen jogging man, because the rule for legally armed citizens is to inform officer you are armed, place the firearm on the ground and raise your hands. You don’t really have the same “stand your ground, fear for life, self defense argument vs police as you do with unknown citizens

    I think it is more to lay out how serious this is for Roddie. He was trying to protect himself as a witness while downplaying his involvement. Of course half truths would hurt the prosecution, so it was time to end the games.

    If he doesn't come around and spill all the beans they will be more than happy to prosecute him next to the other two for murder.
