What's funny is that Trump believes he has total authority, but has absolutely no idea he's just a useful idiot...being used by powerful oligarchs. He's safe as long as he remains in office, which is what gives him his delusions of grandeur.

A "strawman" is when you dispute an irrelevant point that is different from the one the person you are debating with made. I don't think I have done that. If I did it was inadvertent. Let me know what that was. I know citizens who are convicted are separated. That's a strawman. These are not convicted. The large majority were just applying for asylum as International law and our laws indicate. But the main point, and one that I don't know if you realize you are agreeing with, is the part of no plan to reunite.

I told you how they were treated from the beginning: they were separated from their parents with no plan whatsoever to reunite them. You don't think that children being locked up for weeks, months... maybe forever... separated from their parents, who have committed no crime, is mental abuse on those children? Reuniting them only, in most cases, required a long judicial dispute and an order by a Federal judge. Some have not been reunited to this day. Separation continued even after the judge ordered the state to reunite them... and probably still continues. The matter is still in the court system. It's immoral to do it in the first place. It's immoral to continue doing it. And it's immoral to use the bureaucracy in the court system to continue abusing children. You said you agree with that. Care to make a correction? I sure hope so.

The way to do that, according to our laws, is to request it when they are in U.S. territory. Which is what they did. You cannot request asylum unless you are inside the U.S. That is the law!

What you say is nonsense! How do voters keep a President from abusing power? What keeps him from cheating his way into reelection. Which is exactly what this President is doing (example: Ukraine). I took nothing out of context! That is a false accusation that you should retract, unless you can demonstrate it. And I only quote what I'm responding to because otherwise the posts end up becoming extremely long. That is usual practice in online forums.

Not taking things out of context is important to me. So if I take anything out of context.... don't just send a vague accusation... show it! I will have done it inadvertently and I will correct it. But I see no reason why you would want to read your own words over and over.
