A 25 year old female resident of Dearborn, Michigan, under the "more moral and holy" United States of Abortion Made Illegal in the year 20-whatever..... leaves her home on a Friday, after noticing she missed her period, and drives three hours to the lovely city of Windsor, Ontario in our friendly neighbor to the North, Canada. There, she proceeds to visit a clinic, operated by pro-choice American ex-patriates with the approval of the Canadian government....and after an examination, is given a pill called mifepristone...she enjoys the sights and sounds of Windsor and two days later, receives a dose of a pill called misoprostol. She then drives back to the United States of Protecting the 'Babies' on Sunday...goes to church maybe...and then resumes her life. What law has she violated and how do you plan on arresting and prosecuting her??? ((BTW, the second part of that question....is the one that will stump them most))

Likely they have no idea what it really means. If they knew that it effectively allows perfectly normal healthy fetuses to be aborted, even when there is no serious threat to the mother's health, 18% of them would have changed their minds in that poll. The majority of the American public does not look kindly on women who seek to use abortion as just another form of birth control, without any regard for the baby. Contrary to what the general public may believe, over 99% of abortions have nothing to do with rape.
Or maybe they are just smart enough to know that criminalizing abortions doesn't reduce them. The majority of women who have an abortion have had no previous abortion, so that blows the "abortion as birth control" theory. That is just another "pro-life" lie. People understand that abortions are needed for many reasons other than rape.
