There was an interesting scientific study that found plants might need a bit less water if there is more CO2. This is because plants do not have to open their pores as much when the CO2 concentration is higher to be able to take it in, and so they can reduce water loss to evaporation.
This is only a small effect and might be outweighed by warmer temperatures.
But warmer temperatures do tend to increase humidity levels in areas close to bodies of water, so that could counterbalance that.

If we actually allowed forests to grow near coastal areas, those forest areas could themselves carry moisture levels further inland due to transpiration, but unfortunately we've cut down a lot of the forests in coastal areas because humans live there.

Exactly. The stomata don't have to be open as long a time and therefore the soil remains moister. Less irrigation water is needed. Also temperatures in planted fields are lower than ambient.

You know pineapples and sugarcane can open their stromata at night, they have CAM photosynthesis so don't have to open it during the daytime.

How do you feel about hundreds of acres of forest near me being cut down, ultimately due to immigration?

Want me to send you pictures?
