Just a FYI Tex, belt fed arms are usually not considered assault rifles either.

I don't think a Ma Deuce is considered an assault rifle.
    That's a .50 caliber heavy machine gun.

I walk into a house and see one of those leaning against a wall, and I'd leave too!

The only head scratcher, is that any human being thought this non-problem was not only worth thinking about, but actually worth publicly writing about. It is a invented problem, where no actual problem exists. I suppose it would be more accurate to call it a prosperous people's problem, but this one was quite particularly a white person problem!! "Some one didn't love guns as much as I irrationally do, and boy am I mad about it!!!" It isn't an actual problem, just get a different painter. Pretty simple if you ask me!!

I am a white christian male. I am just a white christian male with an IQ above 100, and a sense of perspective. Your sad story about the painter, is not worthy of your own indignation, let alone anyone else's!! It is an invented problem, which wasted my time to read. I felt after that waste, mocking it was the only appropriate response!! Any intelligent person with a sense of humor and a sense of perspective would agree.

I use to live in a rural areal on the edge of town by a small grove and a bunch of fields. We had a couple small dogs and also occasionally had small children over that would play in the yard. Now, we kept an air rifle on a high shelf by the back door mainly to shoot coyotes in the ass every time they wondered into our yard. It was out of the reach of children and the safety was on but it wasn't locked away and it was loaded. I don't think our efforts in making sure our dogs weren't eaten and that small children were not mauled were unfounded, but that is just me.

Actually my story has nothing really to do with the OP and is completely unrelated. I just wanted tell my own pointless anecdote to (*)(*)(*)(*) off Frodly.

That's harsh isn't it? This is the off-topic section of the forum and texmaster is discussing a personal
anecdote. We all make the choice to participate in a thread or not, why go out of your way to attack
    him personally?

The FN P90 is a considered a submachine gun, the MaDuce is a heavy machine gun.

Neither one is an assault rifle.

I like it!! I have no problem with guns, nor do I have a problem with shooting coyotes in the ass, and I DEFINITELY have no trouble with some one protecting their dogs. Gun ownership doesn't bother me, getting worked up in a haze of indignation, over such a non-issue as this painter story, is just silly to me!!
