Yes, I comprehended your post, when you took the thread completely off topic.

He's arguing that speech should not be controlled until capitalism in its current form is abolished. Thanks for your back-on-topic assessment.

I'm glad you now understand that I didn't claim this article was Trump's fault. Still not sure why actual attempts to limit free speech are less important than theoretical papers that make no concrete actions, but to each their own.

He wasn't president then. Everyone sues everyone and the overwhelming majority of suits are frivilous. Newspapers get sued frequently by private cituzens. That isn't anti free press, that is a necessary check on the other wise unlimited power if the press, to defame and attack private citizens at will.

It continued after he was voted in; he's even threatened folks for publishing polls he doesn't like. What a weak, pathetic, freedom-hating weasel. But the dodge is cute anyway. Keep defending his attacks on the First Amendment if that's what it takes. I'll keep choosing the Constitution over Trump and you can keep choosing Trump over the Constitution.

Expressing an aesthetic opinion isn't "defaming." Telling the truth isn't "defaming." Yet that's what Trump has sued people for. Because he firmly believes his personal interests are more important than our fundamental rights. I choose to criticize him for that. You choose to look the other way, at best, or praise him for his attacks, at worst.

BS not one suit has been filed. He has complained he had done nothing else. Every President since Washington has complained about their press coverage. I guess the we're all weak in your opinion.

He filed a suit against a man for calling his building plan ugly. He threatened to sue a business if they didn't fire a man for (correctly, by the way) criticizing his business decisions in Atlanta. His victim sued and won. He sued a man for (again, correctly) pointing out that he frequently lies about his wealth and his business deals. He lost that one too. All of these suits were filed. He lost all of them. He did more than complain. No sure why you insist on such an obvious fantasy. Would it kill you to hold the First Amendment in higher regard than the Dear Leader?

What part of while he had been president did you not understand the first time?

He has continued this pattern after becoming president, even trying to chill free speech by threatening lawsuits against people for the "crime" of having poll findings that he disagrees with. And I don't accept your ridiculous superstition that nothing he did before he was elected matters. Should we ignore everything Biden has done just because he hasn't done them as president? Surely you aren't foolish enough to buy that. Yet you want the Dear Leader to have special treatment. Feel free to give it to him. I won't stoop to that level of hypocrisy myself.

BS.where were you when Obama spied on the AP and tried to have James Rosen arrested? Every news organization out there has lawyers on staff if they cared about the truth maybe they'd quit lying and wouldn't need lawyers.

have you had enough yet fellow citizens?

Will you continue to look the otherway at radical extremism?

Its time to be louder than the radicals. Its time to shut them down.
