I'm curious, do you believe human beings started with Adam and Eve? If so, how many years back was that? How did you come by that belief? And one additional question - how are you going to vote in the presidential election?
Your first question isn't phrased correctly if you want to discuss general humanity. That's because according to the Bible and the Babylonian Talmud only Jews are men (or human) and everyone else is a barbarian. Since Adam & Eve are specific to the Bible and to the ethnocentric Middle Eastern Jewish religious fairy tale they did start the line that became the Jews. All of the main Bible characters are Jews. When you read the story you will notice that Adam & Eve were kicked out of the Garden of Eden which was in the area surrounded by Persia, Arabia, Assyria, and Ethiopia. So it's obvious that Adam and Eve didn't start general humanity. For the purposes of the fairy tale they started the line that became the Jews. Later on in the fairy tale the king of Tyre was kicked out of the Garden of Eden. Tyre is on the Mediterranean coast of Lebanon. Since you asked a political question in the religious forum according to the Bible God appoints all leaders. So it's immaterial who you as an individual votes for because God will do what he wants to do. As for me I won't be voting for Hillary. We'll see if God will inflict her upon us.
In the Genesis, man (generic) was created in the normal way and then Adam was created from dust. Eve was formed from Adams ribs. Bible scholars have determined this was around 6,000 years ago. This explains were Cain went after he slew Able and also where Seth got is wife.
Adam and eve....lol. Whoever does please call me...I have three magic beans left and they are going fast.
If you are trying to tie religious belief and belief in creationism to how someone will vote for POTUS you are embarking upon the road to failure.
I don,t plan on voting fir Hillary either but I hope that God does not impose that POS Trump on us. Maybe we will get lucky and Godd will let us elect Kasich by chipping Kasich,s name in on our stone voting tablets.
Eve was bored because Adam was busy naming all the animals and the only other creature she could talk to was the snake. Eve wanted to do something nice to help Adam and when she heard about the magic tree she thought that would make his job easier so he could spend more time with her instead. So Eve was just doing something out of the goodness of her heart. As far as voting goes there is no choice since Hillary is the only viable candidate for POTUS. Trump will ban all Edenites from immigrating to America and then he will nuke the place because he didn't like something that God said about him.
I'm a proud Trump supporter who believes the human lineage split off from apes millions of years ago and evolved into modern humans. Hope that doesn't shock anyone.
Almost all cultures have a creation myth if myth is the right word. I almost as every culture that I know about has one, but I don't know about every culture. Most that I have read or heard about has some deity from the heavens, sky people, from the stars coming down to earth to create man. Names and circumstances are different. But the stories told whether here as in the bible, the middle east, southeast Asia, the American Indians, where ever, the basic story is very close. Billions of people believe in their traditions of creation from all over the globe. Perhaps there is something to them, perhaps not. But I see no harm in believing in them. I do see trying to debunk or destroy ancient cultural beliefs and enforce one's own upon others as wrong. That rings with an air of superiority over the so called uneducated masses. But what I have found out over time is there always is a bit of truth behind every myth. How much truth is debatable and can vary depending on the myth or cultural tradition. If people believe in Adam and Eve or the Serpent God who came down from the sky to create people, that is fine with me. If people believe we were visited by ancient aliens who rearranged our DNA to create us, fine also. Who really knows? What I do find deplorable is trying to force one's beliefs upon others. As for voting for president, I am voting for Gary Johnson. I detest the two major party candidates immensely. Now I do wish that the choice give this election cycle of Trump vs. Clinton was a myth. That myth deserves debunking. But sadly, there is a grain of truth to it.
The Bible is a book written by mortals with no clue, yet tried to draw a picture for the people of their faith. I do believe there is a Deity that started all of it, but as a mortal I have no perception of it's being. Only that it is good. On the second question, the best person for the job is not among the two major parties, so I may write in Yosemite Sam.
Disappointed perhaps....not shocked. Adam and Eve are an obvious impossibility as is Lilith, this a timeline would be irrelevant. I will be holding my nose for HillBill to protect my country from what Trump represents and might turn it into.
If humans are younger than apes what caused the human line to evolve countless times faster than the ape lines? All of the ape lines are still stuck in the past while humans continue to evolve. Humans will be completely different creatures in 100,000 years. If apes still exist they will still be apes.
Who cares what species is older or younger? All I care about is that people stop teaching school age children that Adam was created out of dust and Eve was created from Adam's rib. Is that too much to ask?
Homo Sapiens (humans) is a species belonging to the superfamily Hominoidia. All apes belong to the superfamily Hominoidia. Humans are apes. Homo Sapiens is a recent species. There are many other species within Hominoidia that are older than humans. Not at all.
What does "faster" mean? You seem to believe that evolution has some premeasured goal and that humans are that goal. It doesn't. You sound like some willfully ignorant creationist. You need a lesson in natural selection and population genetics. That depends on the selection pressures upon those different species. - - - Updated - - - No N/A N/A Hillary Clinton
If you had a real time machine and could see evolution first hand you would claim that your clock is wrong.
