If atheist dont believe in God, why do they get so upset that I pray to Him. IMO this is a very good question.
We don't. Seeing as this is the second thread today you have created based on wildly inaccurate information, I have to ask: do you know anything?
Wildly inaccurate???? Are you saying atheist believe in God???? Additionally atheist get their underlovlies in a wad over a cross or the star of David. If they claim as they do that they dont recognize religion or any thing about it, why is a cross, a six sided star or what ever any different than a box or a triangle. What it actually boils down to is that atheist just what to be interfering fools and just plain contrary. The end result they want to impose their non religion on Christians and Jewish people especially.
No. You are claiming atheists give a crap if you pray. That is wildly inaccurate. As inaccurate as your claim that Iran supports ISIS.
What is curious is why atheist get so exercised about say a team prayer before a football game that asks for the players to be safe. It atheist think the team is praying to no one why do they care?
The problem is with the government endorsing a religion. If the players feel they want to pray among themselves before the game, whatever. Why does the prayer need official government endorsement?
1) You have to stop labeling your own questions as "good". It is not upon yourself, but on others to decide whether your question is good or not. 2) I don't have a a problem with a football team prayer. Although I am not a believer anymore, I don't have a problem praying, if the occasion calls for it, for example at a funeral. With that said, I think that an atheist could have a problem with the football team prayer, because if they are seen as not praying by the crowd, the other "good" Christians often react in a judgmental way, assuming that the atheist must not be a good person, or at least untrustworthy, if they are not religious. This effect is often used in reverse by con-men, posing as deeply religious people, with the hope to gain trust when trust is not deserved.
No its not a good question. You Ned to get specific about who these athiests were and how they were upset. Sounds made up The vast majority of atheists could not care less who or what imaginary friend you talk to.
Atheists do no such thing. It is clear that it is you dreaming up false and trivial generalizations about atheists who do not care what jewelry you wear or what bumper stickers you festoon your car with.
They do not care. I challenge you to find one example of atheists opposing prayer before an NFL game. They never have. There may have been some mild opposition to prayer before public school games but that is a separation of church and state issue and the opposition to such prayers was little more than vocal criticism. Stop dreaming up false generalizations for your opposition to those who think differently
A prayer by a football team in podunk Calif is not Congress establishing an official religion in the US!!!
Stop obfuscation you know what the poster referred to. The wildly innacurate part was your fiction that athreists give a damn what you pray to
If it is a government owned team or a public school team then it most certainly is government RESPECTING an establishment of religion which is an egregious violation of the first amendment.
most atheists are religious... they just choose to worship at the alter of man-made global warming. The Global-Warmitarians have the same formula. 1. Doom and gloom are iminent unless you change your behavior. 2. They pay tithes in the form of carbon credits 3. They listen to their evangelist that lives in a mansion while "sinning" (ie - doing what he preaches not to do, and that's leave a big carbon footprint) atheists are very religious. THey are like a born again Christian who used to party every night, but then preaches to all his old party buddies.
Most/the overwhelming majority of atheists don't care about what you think, it is when you attempt to impose your beliefs through legislation the nest gets stirred up.
If that is so why do they always raise a stink about prayer in school or at football games. If they dont believe in the 10 commandments why do they want them out of courthouses, and it goes on and on. - - - Updated - - - Read the Constitution-----------------it says CONGRESS respecting a religion, not the "government" not a local school.
Atheists are not religious at all. Atheism is the opposite of religion. Saying atheists are religious is as stupid as saying sitting on the couch is a sport. Your examples are fictional bs. Atheists are as divided on global warming and other issues as anyone else. - - - Updated - - - A school owned by the government and the law extends to all branches - - - Updated - - - One more time atheists do not always raise such a stink you are dreaming up false generations
No. You are argueing what was never said and ignoring what was said which is a cowards argument and a fools argument. It is a violation of law by the government which is never tolerable except to you
I can't speak for every atheist, but I suspect that the thinking atheists don't so much have a problem with prayer itself, they have a problem with having or claiming to have a belief in one of the many religions being the argument for a law or for special rights. They don't like when having a belief in a religion affects things that have nothing to do with religion, like science and education. For example, Moses is now listed as a founding father in Texas school books. That just screams upsetting.
an atheist, a cross-fitter and a vegan walked into a bar.... I know this because they told me within 5 minutes of coming it.....
I bet this little anecdote never happened it is just a cute joke. Most of us atheists donot even bother to tell anyone we are atheists unless it is germaine to what is being discussed ( such as this thread ) or unless asked.
