Basically, you guys believe that abortion is ethically sound and should be legal, and the reason for that which something along the lines of, that a woman "doesn't have to force her resources and her body to be used up by the fetus". HOWEVER Does the question of whether or not abortion should be legal, to you guys, depend on whether or not the fetus is a person, or not? Even if the fetus is a person, (in your opinions) does a woman still have the right to control her own body, and the right to have an abortion as an exercise of her own bodily rights, because she doesn't have to have her body controlled and used by the fetus?
I don't think "playing semantics", a boring waste of time, has anything to do with the FACT that women should have the right to abortions. You can call it a wallaby, I do NOT care, abortion is legal and should stay that way.
Yes. See A Defense of Abortion by Judith Jarvis Thomson. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Defense_of_Abortion
You bring up the question of is their position logical... No. Look at their positions on abortion....personhood, viability. They are all over the place on these issues. That is why I made the thread so people could state their positions...especially on late term abortion...which many of them won't touch. Abortion they say is a right...and woman should be able to decide for THEMSELVES...what will happen...its about freedom to choose....because their bodies belong to them. But then more than half of the pro-aborts on this forum at least...want to deny this freedom to woman...who just might want a late term abortion. They must not see the child in the womb as a person....that or they just don't care....which is why they don't want to state in any post on here...makes them look inhumane. I just got an answer from someone who has been running and avoiding answering...but they are for NOT restricting abortion....that means killing a nine month old in the womb is acceptable. Some see the fetus as a person...some don't....but both positions don't really care enough to want protection.
Please link to just ONE case of a nine month old in the womb being killed as a result of mere WANT. Women do not choose late term abortion from a mere desire to not be pregnant or not become a mother. Late-term abortions are medically necessary. (And I will keep saying this every time you imply that women choose late-term abortions casually.)
Interesting .. The person who posted this comment says it far better than I ever could http://www.politicalforum.com/abort...court-picked-pro-life-repub-presidents-3.html post number #22
Oh, c'mon, they're running from that thread as fast as they can.......you can hear it, like lumbering elephants....
AAAANNNNNDDDD yet another thread where there is a reference to Late Term Abortion despite that not being the topic AAAAAAANNNNDDDD Again I will point out that this is a deliberate ploy to couple the concepts of late term abortion with abortion in general AAAAAANNNNNNDDDDD Again I will point out that the vast majority of late term abortions are for foetal malformation incompatible with life
