This sabotage of the USPS requires more than whining on a message board. Something I'm as guilty of as anyone. But this is a serious as it gets.

Take a moment to call your congressperson's office. I know the House is going on recess but hopefully staff will still be listening to and recording messages.

The potential for not having your vote counted should be highly motivating. Not to mention the possibility Trump uses the issue as a pretense for challenging the election results. We all know he will stop at nothing in pursuit of holding on to power.

Please call. It will make you feel better for having done something. We the people are not without power.

If at all possible request a mail in vote as early as possible and then drop it off in person

If you must mail it back, do it immediately (no later than Oct 22) and put extra postage on it to ensure it gets treated as first class mail..

But no matter what....VOTE people. We have to stop this insanity

We need to demand that House members conduct hearings on this issue NOW. Not after their recess.

 

No it does not. 39 USC 404 gives the post office the power to make these decisions and 269 were closed during Obama's first term. They have been downsizing and consolidating for years. They don't magically lose powers because people don't like the current POTUS.

 

What would the reaction be of an admin who wants to ensure everyone's vote gets counted? To fund the postal service, fire the postmaster general for removing equipment making the USPS more efficient, work with the states to make sure they get what they need to count every vote.
What is this admin doing? Trying to sabotage mail in voting with every means at their disposal.

i am very concerned about my vote being counted. We have a dem Gov and i already saw what Cuomo did in NY when he suppressed the votes of 1000s of NYers.

Calling your congressman does nothing. I spelled out exactly what would happen in 2010 about Obamacare to my idiot congressman, he ignored me. I was right in step by step, what I predicted would happen happened, in 2011, 2012,2013,2014,2015 I was 100% correct. So a waste of time.
