Daniel Shaver was told to stop moving. He continued to advance on the cops, they fired. His female companion was taken into custody without incident: She complied.

Shaver waa obviously a victim of systemic racism.

The fact that you changed the subject, choosing not to argue against my point, indicates that I am correct: had this been a black BLM rioter, for example, you and every Democrat on this forum would be saying that an unarmed woman was unjustifiably shot to death.

"As protesters were forcing their way toward the House Chamber where Members of Congress were sheltering in place, a sworn (U.S. Capitol Police) employee discharged their service weapon, striking an adult female," police said in a statement Thursday. "Medical assistance was rendered immediately, and the female was transported to the hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. She has been identified as Ashli Babbitt."

The employee has been placed on administrative leave and their police powers have been suspended pending the outcome of a joint Metropolitan Police Department and Capitol Police investigation, police said."

Can you explain how this shooting is "because of systemic racism and sexism"?

Notice in that report we are not informed (deliberately?) of the "police employee's" race or gender, which is interesting in itself - given the state of race and gender relations in the US - even though it could be argued such information is of NO significance in a post racist, post sexist society........which the US is not, of course.

Your statement above might have some validity IF the police employee was a black male,
but how would you prove systemic racism in court? .....while white cops killing blacks aren't condemned as 'racist' in court.

What IS ironic is a member of the US defence forces was killed by a member of the US security forces for taking part in an illegal riot in the nation's Capitol, the citadel of democracy.

Explain how Babbitt's death is "systemic racism". And perhaps offer your solution....
