    All children black or white should be protected from vile predators. The post did nothing to address the issue of children being attacked in aboriginal camps nor did it deal with aboriginal leaders that are sex criminals.

    Your OP:

    Bower's post was dealing with the concept of children being "special" and "protected".
    It specifically relates to "pedos" mentioned in your OP and to "peadophile" in the thread title (because we all believe children are special and should be protected from paedophiles).

    No deflection - just making the playing field even by demonstrating that this is an issue NOT confined to one race, people or culture and therefore should not be used as the basis for vilifying an entire race of people

    Seems to me that pedophilia exists in all segments of society, not just the ones you dislike

    Fair enough, but considering that child sexual abuse was ONE of the problems that lead to the intervention and that child abuse rates in the aboriginal communities are so high i thought it would be best if we confine the discussion to those thanks.
    If you wish to start a thread on abuse within the wider aussie community i will be only to happy to join in that discussion too.

    Its physical and mental abuse regardless of culture, race, belief, ideology etc. Defending it is supporting child physical and mental abuse.

    No, we are saying that the definition of child varies with the culture

    I prefer a culture where women and children are protected but that is not the norm across the world and if you even begin to think it is watch the movie or read the book of "Desert Flower"

    I'm saying that different cultures exist, and they have different views to us.

    I'm recognising the existence of different points of views; I'm not condoning the actions.

    We all agree that there is a disproportional amount of aboriginal crime
    We all agree that they should be punished for their crimes just as anyone else would.
