    Would you install an electric and/or a gas meter that charges you more so that goes towards funding net zero in your country?

    I'll go first. Absolutely NO.

    No but our city does have a program via our smart meters that will allow you to pay less for your electricity during off peak but more during peak times if you want to opt into that billing scheme. Haven't seen how many have. My Water/Gas/Electricity/curbside trash pick up was $209 this month. About half of that was electric.

    Well, here in New York State, that isn't a choice because, by law, everything new is being moved to electric power, and everything else, including inefficient appliances, is being banned.
