This law doesn't place a limit on what congress may demand from the executive branch.

 

They can demand that jelly beans fall from the sky. Doesn't mean they will get what they demand.

The obstruction may have to be taken to the SCOTUS, but this is a clear case.

 

So clear that it has already been decided by Rosenstein and Barr that agreed with Mueller that there is not enough evidence for it.

You do realize that it is up to congress to decide what requires impeachment, right? Nothing Barr says has a bearing on that. And, nothing Barr thinks allows him to deny congress this report.

More importantly, it is congress that can pass laws concerning elections, pass sanctions against those who attack us, determine other areas to investigate (Clinton?), etc.

 

Are you promoting the idea that Congress should obstruct any investigations into Democrats?

 

No, I'm saying the OPPOSITE of that.

I'm saying that the Mueller report could include evidence that leads outside of the remit that restricted Mueller.

If Mueller had info on Clinton, he would probably not have pursued it, because he wasn't authorized to do so. And, it appears Mueller stayed within the lines pretty strongly.

If the intelligence oversight committees of the House and Senate were to have the Mueller report, they COULD use it in that way. They could also use it to formulate law that would prevent specific bad/foreign behavior or could impose sanctions on countries that may have attacked our democracy.

 

Oh, no doubt. No evidence of collusion or obstruction is all the TDS house needs for impeachment.

Well, we know that there was no conspiracy between Russians and any American. We believe that there are some unknown cases handed off to other jurisdictions.

I don't think that there would be any compelling evidence of any crime which is not being investigated elsewhere.

It would be great if the fruit of the hoax could have some value.

 

Bull. That is absolutely not true. Pelosi, Schiff and other leadership has said no impeachment is likely, and they have said that for longer than the Mueller report has been out.

And, it was TRUMP who pivoted to healthcare, shockingly enough.

Surely you don't think Democrats are going to resist a pivot to one of their most important issues throughout the last election cycle.

 

Your opinion on this is just as irrelevant as mine - the issue is what Mueller has found, not what we think.

Please remember that Barr has only commented on Trump - and Trump is not the whole deal, nor is Barr's opinion unbiased. Barr's position has been that a sitting president can not be charged - so, when he says there are no charges against Trump we knew he would say that back when he was confirmed as AG!!

This hoas idea is total BS. The special prosecutor was selected by Republicans, the investigation was managed by Republicans, the investigation was carried out by a Republican.

There is NO evidence of a hoax. Maybe there is in the report, but Barr has THAT under wraps!

Mueller's mandate specifically included finding whether any American conspired with the Russians. The fact that there were no indictments for any American conspiring with Russians, and no further indictments will result from the investigation, seems to clear every American.

I can't say that no American conspired with Russians, but I can say that no compelling evidence will be found in Mueller's report.

It's illogical to claim that he was mandated to prosecute conspiracy with Russians, did not prosecute anyone for conspiracy with Russians, but there is proof of conspiracy with Russians in his report.

 

It's like they think they are sitting on a string of victories or somethin'.
