After rereading, maybe I misunderstood. Maybe your comments were all describing the plot of the movie Lakeview Terrace. I haven't seen the movie. I took your post as your own comments. Sorry.

As I said my wife is an economist. She has a Master's Degree in economics. It must be because black people are less intelligent...

As I told, we never lived as a couple in Denmark, because I met her in London, where we worked for the same company. She was in Denmark first, when we visited my family. And I'm originally from a little town, from South Denmark where not Blacks or Asians but foreigner white Europeans don't live too. It's a little historical "full-Danish" town.
You really made me surprised with your article about London. OK, London is a big city we probably lived in the "Good Side" of London. I think the racist attacks are in the poorer parts of the city. Where we lived with other middle-classed families, interracial relationships (loves, friendships) were totally accepted and more common, than here.

Another thing that really bothers me about all of the "racism" accusations. It seems most people today have no idea what the definition of racism is. They seem to use this word interchangeably with bigot, stereotype, etc etc.

If I write, "Blacks love fried chicken"...that's not racism, it's a stereotype. If I write, "All Irish people are drunks"...does that make me a racist? No. It's a stereotype.

Racism is when a person claims that a race is inherently BETTER, NOT different etc, than another race.

If I write, "White people, on average, are smarter than black people"...that's not racism. It's a fact based off of legitimate scientific studies. However, in today's PC world a statement like that, no matter how true, will cause mass hysteria among some of the ignorant people in this country.

If I write, for example, "White people are a superior race to all other races"...that's racism.

No. You're wrong. Its racism if a white person disagree with a black person.

Racism is the archaic belief that human beings are divided into 'races' and that our own imagined race is superior to other imagined races. You can always tell racists because they are eager to attack others as huge groups though insisting their victims 'are not a race' - which makes it all okay, like killing more Russians than Jews in the death camps and so on, because they were soldiers rather than 'Slavs'.

I'm not sure why you're trying to claim that races don't exist... because they do. And it seems you also have some difficulties understanding just what racism means. Attacking others who are "huge groups" doesn't always equate to racism.

I'm willing to bet that there's far more white people engaging in skin darkening (aka tanning) than non-whites engaging in skin lightening.

Your post makes it seem like you don't know women very well. White women curl or "volumize" their hair, also wear extensions, and have expensive surgery to look more like ethnic women. In fact, I would venture to say that white women are downright schizophrenic. If they have curly hair, they want straight hair. If they have straight hair, they want curls. If they have red hair they want dark hair. If they have dark hair, they want blonde hair. Insanity at its finest.

I'm sure there's tons of black women getting butt-implants right?

I didn't know that brown skin and huge asses was a European thing.

Assertion is only 'fact' where there is mob law. No, there is one race, the human. and racists are those who pretend otherwise as an excuse to hate.

I think you're oversimplifying what Polar Bear was saying. When a white women gets a tan it's not so she can look like an African American woman. The same with when they get butt implants, lips injections etc. These women are trying to enhance certain parts of their bodies.

On the other hand, to deny that a lot of black women try to look "white" shows that you're wearing blinders. The American culture, right or wrong, covets "white-ness". 99% of all African American women have short, tightly curled hair, brown eyes, and wide noses. White women have blonde, red, brown, black, straight, curly, long, short hair and blue, brown, green, hazel, and all the shades these colors bring. So, when a white woman goes from brown to blonde hair she isn't trying to look black. However, when a black woman goes from black, short and curly hair to long blonde straight hair she is in fact trying to look white.

(Disclaimer...I realize that some here will call this a "racist" post. Before you do, look up the definition of racist, please)

Quite simply, we have labels for different strands of the human race. They are identifiable by DNA. What is in a name?

So would you rather each race be labeled as a different "breed"?

In YOUR head does gravity exist? What about the fact that the Earth is round? In YOUR head is it flat?

You can believe whatever you wish, but in the medical field, forensic anthropolgy, and many other fields race is very real.

Agreed, there is no problem with handing a bucket of fried chicken to a black man. That is not racist, just a stereotype.

And when a white woman is darkening her skin and increasing her butt size?

And yes, I understand that America covets whiteness, but that has nothing to do with what women view as attractive. In fact, if the rise of tanning and butt implants is any indication, it would appear that women are running away from whiteness and embracing a more racially homogeneous appearance.

Sorry I made two mistakes. I wanted to post my last two comments as Reply With Qoute, but I wrote them just as simple comments. So correctly:
"As I said my wife is an economist. She has a Master's Degree in economics. It must be because black people are less intelligent..." It was a reply to Polar Bear #22
"As I told, we never lived as a couple in Denmark, because I met her in London, where we worked for the same company. She was in Denmark first, when we visited my family. And I'm originally from a little town, from South Denmark where not Blacks or Asians but foreigner white Europeans don't live too. It's a little historical "full-Danish" town.

LOL, I'd buy that excuse if it wasn't for the butt-implant comment.

White women tan because bronzed skin is more attractive than pasty white skin. Has nothing to do with longing to look more like other races (or the Kardashians).

Latin and Hispanic women are well known for their backsides. Especially Brazilians. The "Brazilian Butt" is one of the fastest growing plastic surgeries in the U.S. And white women are the main customers.

Pasty skin is a trait of white women. Bronze to brown skin is a trait of non-white women. Hence the term "white women".

    Your logic is failing rapidly.

Yeah, my logic is only based on the fact I'm a white woman. What would I know about why white women tan, huh?

The Ancient Greeks favored a Bronzed complexion. Remember Bronze? That metal they used to consider precious and made money out of back then?

I can't explain history behind why a tanned complexion is considered attractive, but it has little to do with longing to be like a darker ethnicity. It has more to do with an early an early 20th Century fascination with the outdoors and a mid 20th Century fascination with queer surfing culture.
