Fine. Then toss 'em 30 years ago, but now much time has passed and they have assimilated into our society, and we have let them
stay. Compassion and empathy for those less fortunate than us is the American way, and always has been. What has changed?
American citizens also break laws that affect other people's lives, and break those laws time and again. What to do?

Americans have always had empathy and compassion for those less fortunate than us. I guess not anymore. You ever break the law? Driving while drunk?
ICE should toss criminals out, yes.

So anyone who "gets away with one" for 30 years is ok to reap the fruits of their endeavor? or just Illegal Squatters?

We should deal with illegal aliens who break the law by deporting them

America can produce all the criminals and drunk drivers we want or need without importing more

What fruits? These people lived in squalor in their native country. They are able to survive here, and they are human beings. Compassion and empathy, my friend.

Once they break our laws, yes.

That's fits literally everyone in the world, guess we should just bring them all here. I have compassion and empathy, but this has it's limits.

How about compassion and empathy for Americans first.

Exactly. And don't forget about the people who are doing exactly what the other poster mentioned (squalor/survival)..but doing it the right way. These people follow our laws and immigration policies...and are fools as invaders just walk right in.

No, Trump is shoring up our borders with more border guards, technology, and the crossings have diminished dramatically.
I am considering those who have been here for 20-30 years and have established themselves as members of our society.

Getting away with it for a length of time doesn't sway me. If someone took money they didn't deserve for instance, went without notice for decades, and even gave away most of it to charity...they're still a thief.

I do not agree with you. That argument can be made for anybody who does something illegal, like driving under the influence,
    smoking pot, etc.

And if any of those immigrants did that, I agree, and they should be tossed.

Citizens who drive drunk can be put in jail and have their driving privilages revoked

But non citizens who break our immigration laws should be deported

And that goes double for illegal aliens who drive drunk

Illegal immigrants who drive drunk--absolutely. I don't agree with the non-citizen idea. They should have been deported 30 years ago,
not now, when they have families, jobs, and have been accepted into our society.

We have been trying to deport them for 30 years but some Americans have done everything they can to keep them here

So how long they have been here means nothing to me now

No, we have not been trying to deport them for 30 years, or they would have been deported. Obama deported millions, but that was only 2-3 years ago. Reagan announced that he was going to deport them, but couldn't bring himself to do it, since he had empathy and compassion for these less fortunate than us. A true Republican. Nothing phony about him. Let's not forget about the squalor that they
    lived with in Mexico.

    Dont be silly

If you supported santuary cities and catch and release then speak for yourself

But I have been for immigration inforcement and I would happily deport them today

I don't favor sanctuary cities, nor do I favor a bunch of goons grabbing anybody off the street, unless they are criminals. You are a Trump kind of guy. Good luck. Send "em back to the squalor from which they came. Good man. Do you have children?

The fact that they are here illegally does not bother you?

It bothers me because America has an immigration process and these people are cheaters

Of course it bothers me, but they have been here for 30 years. Your insensitivity also bothers me. Do you have children?

I have been trying to have them deported for 30 years

If congress had kept its promise to me in 1986 no illegal aliens here now would be here today

I have not asked you any personal questions about yourself and will not answer any from you

These illegal aliens should not have been here 30 years ago and dont deserve to stay now

But i aaacpt tere are a lot of people on your side

So i we build the wall and make other changes to stop the invasion I know some of the current illegals will be allowed to stay under certain conditions
