ISIS arrived from Iraq, not Saudi Arabia.. They are the enemy of KSA and have carried out more than 2 dozen suicide bombing attacks in kingdom.. Nobody wants strict Sharia law, not the Syrians or the Saudis..

Syria is a secular nation .. no Strict Sharia, no theocracy and so on. An Islamist wants strict sharia theocracy. That was the whole call to Jihad in Syria.

The reason so many people were fighting for the Assad was because they did not want Syria turned into a sharia theocracy.

The idea that an Islamist (someone who by definition hates secularism and wants sharia theocracy) was fighting for the Assad regime which was fighting against Shia theocracy, is patent absurdity.

You have not provided a link to back up your claims but here is where you can start. This was the situation in Syria prior to armed insurrection. In the early days of the protest movement there were moderates. Soon however the extremists took over and started persecuting Christians attacking them, killing them and telling them to either join the protest movement or leave the country.
