No I'm an attorney analyzing facts and law and giving my professional opinion as to the likely result.
You'll note that I hold no prosecutorial powers, I'm not on the jury, I'm not the judge, so I can form and hold whatever opinion I'd like to form and it has no effect on due process or the ability of Mr. Baldwin to receive a fair hearing.

Please calm yourself and stop clutching those pearls so tightly, you're going to break the string.

 

Dude I'm not sure if you're aware of this but Baldwin has been running his mouth all weekend about this ****.
His excuse has been he was told the gun was cold. That's a fact. Its a fact that those words mean "this gun can fire live rounds but right not should not have any in there". Its a fact that days before 2 live rounds had been fired from just such a "cold gun" which caused the crew to walk out. Its a fact that in THAT environment, baldwin didn't open the action and examine the rounds himself.

That sounds a hell of a lot like criminal negligence with a firearm to me, because that's what would happen to anyone else told "this gun is unloaded" who didn't check and pointed and shot someone killing them.
Being an actor on set doesn't get you past that for me or in any legal theory I'm aware of.

I think its more about how he runs his mouth about guns are bad, then plugs someone through his own negligence and refuses to own up to it like ANY of us would be required to. Then has the audacity to get his friends in media to actually print "its not because of his fame and power" that he's receiving special treatment. Then won't shut the **** up about it, making tweet screeds, stopping his car to give a side of the road interview where he runs his mouth about how well trained with firearms he is etc. The man is a narcissist and people like nothing better than to see such a person eat crow which is why this is such a popular topic. Its got all the hot points: A total ******bag perp who keeps running his mouth giving the story new life every time he does. A beautiful victim who was a mother and did nothing wrong. Drama on set leading up to it. Gun control vs anti gun control. Etc.

 

You're the one who mentioned you are a lawyer. So please excuse me for thinking you were coming from a purely professional position when you made your post. Maybe I missed where you stated "IMO..."

I did mention I was a lawyer giving the likely outcome based on facts and law. If you needed IMO to tell that was in my professional opinion, I don't think you're suited to this level of discussion.

Such a tragedy, but this is what you get when you put any gun in the hands of a Fake Anti 2nd Amendment Liberal Tough Guy Fool. Obviously, Alec Baldwin doesn't know the Golden rule of handling firearms, it's always loaded until you personally inspect it and never point it at anybody you're not planning to shoot in self defense.
