Possibly just suspicion of “foreign” food?
    perhaps Vietnamese pork tastes different?
    It’s a bit of a puzzle.
LRL used to supply wild pig meat to German sausage makers. They preferred the flavour of wild pig. And no doubt the worms carried by said pig.

The Tunku was a “ gentle, courteous aristocrat”, ac the journalist, but he’d be criticised.
Mahathir is a polarising character and acts for Malaysia but it was a rotten thing he did to Anwar Ibrahim.

If you can't eat the food of the nation you're visiting, don't freaking go. Or eat Mickey Ds.

From the ABC news this morning. The coal miners must be very worried.

“A major milestone was reached in Australia's biggest electricity market this week when renewable energy supplied more than half of the grid's power.

    Key points:
    • Clean energy sources met most of the demand on Australia's biggest grid for 10 minutes on Wednesday
    • Ideal weather made the milestone possible: strong winds, clear skies and relatively cool temperatures
    • Observers say the industry is changing rapidly and urge governments to reform the "outdated" energy market”.

It’s good isn’t it? Deborah Mailman does a masterly job of her role.
