Amazing Atheist reviews the Son of God trailer.

In 2014 20th century fox will release the film, the Son of God. it will be epic. True history onscreen. Just an awesome movie for Jesus historians. Here is the trailer.

Yeah it's gonna be great. i'm sure the critics are going to hate it. I'm very interested in his life more than his death and the drama of the story. I like the storyline and the historic figures that he encountered and all the stuff he did. I also hope to see a full, long scene of the resurrection. Because most movies don't spend much time on this, they leave it a mystery.

 

Always charmed to encounter another sad soul who in his notion of the true "Christian" tradition, tars all with the same brush for the actions of one.

and that doesn't personify all atheists any more then the "God Warrior" personifies all Christians

That guy is really annoying, but most atheists, hell most people aren't like that. The most annoying atheists are also the loudest ones. This is how some people ,ya get a skewed view that atheists are a bunch of meanies.

Meh, I already know how the story ends.

In all fairness, it looks boring. Half the people int he trailer had British accents. The other half were Americans. Seems odd.

Additionally, apparently the movie is partially made up of scenes form the Bible miniseries thing.

By the way, apparently the movie has a PG13 rating. I thought that was a bit odd for a movie about Jesus.

 

Mr. You gotta get out more. Travel to LA, New York. Go to a starbucks, go to comic con. Socialize man. I go out and meet people all the time. 8 out of 10 atheists are just like that. They act smart, loud, usually wear glasses. They act hip around friends and listen to rock or metal. They love video games and tech.

 

Now you know how I feel when I go to the Staples Center, or Angels stadium and see this kind of nonsense:





You have to click on the You Tube...going to a sporting event, I have no choice but to listen the nonsense on the way to the venue

 

Believe it or not I don't identify with most Atheists. Because all we share is a rejection of an idea, we don't necessarily have anything in common. A lot of the most infuriating people I know are Atheists.

Just as there are a lot of really annoying Christians out there, there are a lot of really annoying Atheists. Unfortunately, these people tend to speak the loudest. Good networking is about finding great people, regardless of ideology.

I really enjoy a lot of the 1950s religious movies. The Ten Commandments, Ben Hur, that sort of stuff. Historical epics kick ass.

 

That is like saying that I go to Walmart and meet Christians all the time- and 8 out of 10 of them are out of work, fat and bigots.

I am not saying that is how Christians are- what I am saying is that your claim is just your rather biased opinion, and anyone could make a similar biased and bigoted claim against Christians.

You understand you can't tell an atheist by looking at them right? If you are meeting people at comic con then maybe u shouldn't generalize to the larger population.

 

I stopped listening to that atheist Youtube video after about 40 seconds. He was way too annoying.

I am an atheist, and an activist one at that, but I still hope this move is good. Some people take these types of movies too seriously. It isn't billed as a documentary. I can enjoy a movie about Jesus in the same way as I can enjoy a movie out Hercules.

That said, I have been greatly disappointed by movies based on stories from the Bible. Passion of the Christ was just a (*)(*)(*)(*)ty snuff film, IMO. The Left Behind movies were horribly done. One good Bible based movie was The Ten Commandments. Actually, that was better than good, it was great. I also enjoyed Ben Hur. Those were from the 1950's, though. So yeah, it is about time they made another good Biblical movie. I wish them luck.

 

I can tell if someone is an atheist in less than 60 seconds. So you are wrong bud.

 

As i've said before. I have a problem with the endings. The last temptation of ended horribly. The Passion also, just showed him waking up and walking away. Someone needs to make a movie where you see him ressurect, like show the whole scene from where he wakes up, to when he goes to heaven, to when he comes back and how he comes back in another body. That needs to be seen. If I was directing, I would use CGI to show his body heal, then he would stand up move the rock with his hands like using the force. Then coming outside dissapearing. Going to heaven, talking to god and then report. Then we see him return to earth in another body as he visits the Apostels again and we see how he enters the body.

Seriously, I can think of a hundred reasons why people at Starbucks might be obnoxious that have nothing to do with their atheism. I guess the same must be true for comic con.

Better would be a history of David in exile, when king Saul was trying to hunt down and kill him and his little band of fighters.

 

they need to do some better advertising, I have shared this with many of my Christian friends and family, they had not heard about it, but were exited to watch it when it comes out
