?

Assuming the British Empire as a three out of ten how would you rate America?

Although I am well aware of many, many, many flaws in the way that the USA has behaved as they policed the world I came to the conclusion that I would give America an eight or a nine in comparison to the British Empire if I were to give Britain a three out of ten for the way that they policed the world during their heyday.

One of the keys is that you Americans..... are relatively very humble..... and very merciful.... and you DID NOT fall into Elitism and Malthusian Theories quite like we Brits did!

I would like to say thank you for being phenomenal neighbours.... in spite of your many, many, many, many, many flaws... that i am well aware of.......... but you are still phenomenal neighbours to us Canadians.

I agree that USA has done much better job than the UK in the past. America never had colonies, some unincorporated territories yes but no real colonies. Monroe doctrine was protecting also Latin America countries, America contributed a lot in the defeat of Third Reich and in policy of containment of communism during cold war.

Concerning mistakes, there were many indeed. However here i would like to point out the loss of China to totalitarian communism after WW2. This partly happened because of communist infiltration in administrations of FDR and also Truman. In China then under Mao more people died than under Hitler in Europe.

Brilliantly stated..... I love this idea and as time allows I have got to try to brush up on this!

There are forty eight Tribes capable of debating my thesis rather effectively.......
The First Nations Tribes of Canada and the USA.

Although President Abraham Lincoln did a phenomenal job of freeing African Americans and saving American taxpayers four billion dollars in interest payments...... he was not so nice to America's First Nations Tribes because he and most Americans feared what they could do if we Brits ever decided to arm them to the teeth...........

Considering the context of the situation that Lincoln faced...... this fear may have had some basis?
