For the love of god. Why is there this focus on this small monolithic 'voting block'? A candidate could virtually ignore AIPAC, and absolutely could dominate the election. They don't even have 5% of the TOTAL population. Not merely 5% of the vote, 5% of the TOTAL population. Why is there a care in the world for their political wants or interests? I don't personally care. We can maintain our hate-crime laws, etc and ensure this minority bloc is protected but that's as far as we have to go realistically. There isn't a need to pay attention to anything else.
Two sides of the same coin - Two monstrous regimes with appalling ideologies that slaughtered wrongthinkers.
Communism was MUCH more severe than that. Any regime that has families informing on each other and employs your neighbors to monitor what radio you listen to is pretty bad. I refer you to the movie "Child 44" a rather gruesome but exciting murder mystery loosely based on a real story that will give you a pretty good idea of what life under Stalin was like. It is also an eponymous book by Tom Robb Smith It did get better after Stalin died but not quickly and not by a whole lot. (It's still not as mild as you seem to think. Russia was known as an oppressive state even by de Tocqueville, writing in the 1830s)
The Leftist, hyperliberal Jews I have known (and know of) aren't really even "Jewish" at all! Many don't practice Judaism in their homes with their families, don't go to synagogues or temples to worship with other Jews, and quite a few don't even believe in God at all, when you get right down to it.... These are the perfect behavioral ingredients and traits to produce what are actually Marxist-Communist-atheists. They are, indeed, often intellectual, successful at work, well-read, passionate people -- but not really "Jewish"....
1) Joseph Stalin has great virtue in defeating Nazism. Joseph Stalin was a very authoritarian ruler. Most Old Testament kings had great sins and great virtue. 2) At age 10 to 12.5 I started being interested in politics. My grandmother (RIP) and my parents (live to 120) did have some fear of political issues. By 1980, Repressions were long in the past.
In USA 2020, anyone can loose his/her career for being seen accessing Politically Incorrect sites. I am not talking about any illegal content. For instance viewing sites about reverse discrimination can be a career ending move. I do not have a career. If I did, my opinions would have been used to end it.
120?? Were they by any chance from that area in Azerbaijan that had the 167-year-old man? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shirali_Muslimov I read somewhere that some thought he was a product of Soviet Census takers wanting to bolster Comrade Stalin's claims that communism gave everyone several extra decades Again, read/view Child 42 and understand it's not just exaggerated propaganda. Look up Lysenkoism as well and re-read Gulag Archipelago , Stalin may have done some good things for Russia, (he did pretty much win WWII) but it was at quite a cost.
I'd like to see some unambiguous examples of that from someone's home computer. Anybody can be fired for using the company computer on company time
His age was definitely exaggerated -- perhaps he lived 100 to 110 years. No one has lived over 120 years.
