It's very unfortunate but this is true.

I'm not in that group but have been, at least per the stats. but I had my reasons and so do others.
if you are legit and crushing it then buy as many new cars, leases, latest phone, gadgets, go clubbing and drink fancy wine. see Hamilton, go to the superbowl.

I think too many people want to think or look like they are crushing it, but aren't, they go into debt, as long as nothing bad happens they're good, but bad luck = fast decline into default.

Americans are not really encouraged to save and invest but most eventually figure it out.

CNBC.COM, 51% of Americans are planning to eat out less in 2020—here’s how to save money without cutting costs, By Alexandria White, Published Tue, Jan 7 2020.
    https://www.cnbc.com/select/how-to-save-money-by-using-a-credit-card/

Lower income workers have had record wage increases 4.4%. The idle rich are idle because their investments work for them. They learn the hard way not to touch the principal.

That's not how metropolitan areas work. In chicago for instance, it's the city and all the suburbs, many of which are red.

Regardless, even the blue inner cities are seeing increased income. Win win.

Well, half of Americans can party. The other half don't own stock and can't cover a $400 bill without going into debt.

Deficit spending a trillion a year, I would hope some good would come of it. I mean, none of you thought this economic expansion was free, did you?

Retirees certainly have not prospered, regardless of whether they are urban or rural.

Must be why we have an ever increasing homeless population, many of whom work full time.

I only stated the foundation this economy is predicated on, is a strong foundation.

yep, one that includes protections for worker, a living wage, sometimes a stimulus, ect....

bailing out the banks and the farmers were needed too, sometimes we need the governments help, so do corps and small to medium size businesses

the economy is teetering right now, that is why interest rates so low and the fed dumping tons of money into the economy, hard to say the economy is doing great when debt is rising and the fed is still trying to save it from collapsing

that is why trickle up works

trickle down fails cause so many of the rich do not do that

the problem is the corps doing so much foreign outsourcing, so many jobs going overseas, even Trump's own businesses hired overseas

Consumer confidence is the highest its been in nearly 20 years, liberal media gave it less than 1% coverage on their evening newscasts, imagine that.

yes, Trump is a master at hyperbole exaggeration (lying), the sad thing for Trump is with his old age he forgets his lies and can't keep them straight anymore - the worst part for Trump is we are on to his game, we all know he lies all the time

as just a rich man, he prob got away with it as people did not have time for his games, but as President it's not working for him
