He was an economist. That's the point.
Yes, and...? I just know you have a point. Come on, spit it out...
You figure philosophy majors need to be professional philosophers? Hohhh-Kayyyy...

I don't know if I'm too young or too old, I just know I don't understand.

I don't understand why the point about busing was brought up.

During the 1960s and 1970s liberals came up with the 'fix all social problems' scheme of busing minority students to more upscale White dominated schools; as if the mere act of mingling the races would magically transform the nation into a Utopia. Of course nobody actually bothered asking minority students or their parents if they WANTED to be bused. But then leftists never, ever ASK. They always simply assume that they automatically know what's best for everyone and then they collectively EMOTE about it and make demands until they get their way.

You don't know what you are talking about.

Do you realize schools were once segregated and were ordered to desegregate by the courts when they didn't do so voluntarily? The judges, the Republicans who pushed for civil rights and even the few Democrats outside the South supporting it weren't liberals.

You are pulling an explanation out of your ass to make claims that completely lacks knowledge of those times.

Leftists were responsible for most of the bad rules and laws of the 1960's and 1970's that as a result children had to endure the consequences.

Leftists like Nixon? You can find who was in office back then and look up when the laws were changed. You obviously weren't alive then and you're spewing mindless rhetoric.

Being Willie Brown's mistress had a lot more to do with where she is today than what grade school she went to.

She does. And her supporters do. She rode a bus. I think she deserves to be president

As far as I can tell it was just a vehicle for Harris to ambush Biden.

Yeah, Trent Lott said it best. If we had only listened to Storm Thurmond, we wouldn’t have these (black) “problems”!

She drove the bus right over Joe Biden, and is probably going to do it again.

And, since she’s angry, she’s likely to back it up and run right over Donald Trump.

She’d make mincemeat out of him in a debate. She would call him out immediately to his face on live TV is he tried to troll her the way he trolled Clinton.

She can't rattle Trump. He'll find some phony dimension to the story and laugh in her face. Which is not to say she can't beat him, but if she does it will be due to turnout. His flaws are already baked in.

I live in a totalitarian state (California) that the Democrats in Sacramento have not represented the lower, middle and upper middle class for decades.

The middle class and upper middle class can afford to leave California and the Democratic party.

The lower middle class in California just take it up the butt and wish they could afford some KY jelly.

The question is, when did the Democratic party throw the middle class under the bus ?

Was it during the 1990's ?

During the Regan presidency when tax cuts for the rich came into favor in the Republican party.

I've heard some say that the Democratic party threw the American middle class under the bus during the 1980's.
While some Democrats with in the DNC say it happened during the 1990's.

Whenever it was, the Democrats stopped representing the working middle class and now only represent illegal aliens, the LGBT, and MS-13 too.

Kamala Harris grew up in a wealthy home. Her mother, Shyamala Gopalan, was an Indian-American cancer researcher. I believe her father was a PhD economist. If she was bused, it wasn't to provide her with an education comparable to the privileged whites. I think she's misrepresenting her childhood in an attempt to stir up race hatred-based votes.

She was bused because she lived in a predominantly black community in an underperforming black school district. That's what busing was about.

Progressive House Democrats Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley are doing all they can to divide the Democratic Party and ensure a Trump victory in 2020.

In an interview with the New York Times’ Maureen Dowd, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi dismissed the Squad as “four people” who have their “public whatever and their Twitter world” but don’t “have any following.”

Pelosi was right. They have no following, but their far left extremist views get a lot of press. I honestly think they wish to destroy the party and reinvent it with their views, which, of course will never happen.

But, in the meantime, Trump is silently cheering them on because he knows their widely broadcasted extremist rhetoric can only help him.

In a recent poll, only Biden has a clear advantage over Trump, leading the President by 53% to 43% if the 2020 presidential election were being held today.

California Sen. Kamala Harris polled a narrow 2 point lead over Trump (48% Harris to 46% Trump), Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders saw a one point advantage over the President (49% Sanders to 48% Trump) and the President tied Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren at 48% and South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg at 47%.

That is what Pelosi is paying attention to.

Trump's four progressives do not have the common sense to realize that free everything isn't too bright when Republicans control the Senate and the White House. They should keep their mouths shut and wait until the Democrats control the government.

    Not now!

I think it was the 80's with the Amnesty.

People just didn't know it yet, and on the national stage, Bill Clinton seemed mainstream enough to get elected.
