An argument for socialism

How stupid can people get? Socialism has never worked.

 

Sure it has - never heard of the Soviet Union or China?

Both countries now strong because of their past histories (Russia)

Vietnam also strong in comparison to its basket case neigbours

 

A lot of scientists, who are smart people, really overestimate their prowess in other areas.

Any real argument for socialism should have to do with specific policies and their effects, an emotional or moral argument (like Einstein makes here) is not so helpful.

China is about as socialist as Texas. Maybe less so.

 

A good read. I don't mind socialists, I think their system can work, as I do think with all forms of government. Einstein brought up some good points.

 

So what, it's their PAST history, under the glory of Mao, that has made them strong!

Russia is strong now thanks to Lenin and Stalin.

Vietman strong NOW thanks to HO and the VC.

Can't you rightists see that history is linear........

How strong do you believe those 3 countries would be now then, if it weren't for Socialism.

Vietnam would be a puppet state of the US for a start.

Russia would be speaking German

China, owned and run by the internationals.

Communism = Power
