Just watched this again after a number of years, good movie still! Except for the ending which I thought was kinda rushed and lack luster. Still a "western" vampire movie with a decent story for John Carpenter. Characters were likeable and it still kept me entertained. Plus Jack Crow (James Woods) was a great badass IMO lol.
It was OK, but as I recall it suffered the same problem that afflicts most horror films; people going off and causing their own peril rather than sticking with the plan. I realize you need to generate drama with that but when it looks forced...
Without cheating (IMDB)....didn't that have a lot of James Cameron "regulars" in it? Lance Henricksen.....Bill Paxton...and the woman who was in "Aliens" (played John Connor's step-mom in "T-2" and the mother with the little children in "Titanic")? (Again...don't want to cheat....or is that another vampire flick from the 90s?)
You're thinking of Near Dark, which was also a very good movie. This one is has James Woods in a "western" theme Vampire movie. Crossbows tied to winches pulling them out into sunlight. Im actually reading the book right now called Vampire$. So far its pretty good, already picked out some scenes in the movie.
I didn't see much of that, unless you are talking about them not returning to Monterey to rebuild their slayer team?
I agree with this 100%!!
I liked when the Master Vampires slaughtered all those monks and they thought they could keep them out by barring the gate, LOL. And the vampires didn't sparkle.
