Actually those were quite peaceful until (take a guess) showed up.

Not that I support them, but they havent been violent like (take a guess)

I dont like a-holes but I prefer them over violent a-holes.

That was one guy, not a complete movement. And that fool wasn't a conservative. Wasn't he a Nazi skinhead white supremacist?

The old Tea Party protests were as plain and innocent as a McDonalds milkshake.

I think he is upset about it having to happen. If the police were left to solve the problem in the first place, it wouldn't have been necessary. "treading lightly" is not the way to deal with organized domestic terrorists.

I guess you didn't understand what I meant...

How do you propose tens of millions of Americans be disarmed? Keep in mind that both the military and the police are approximately as 'pro-gunrights' as the population from which their derived, which means many of them will not only refuse orders to confiscate but would actively resist the enforcement of such a program alongside the armed civilianry.

An additional question- in what way does that help solve the current protests/riots/looting?

Assist the police in stopping the violence? That would imply an ongoing attempt by the police to stop the violence would it not?

I think the national guard might assist the police with their indefatigable retreat from their sworn duty, by covering their rear so to speak.

To be fair, it's not the police rank and file cowering to indecision here, it's police leadership and political leadership (lack there of) that's glaringly incompetent.

Can't run from the flu, can't run the police department, can't provide credible leadership for the people, but daym, can they run the economy into the ground?!

Hmm... they have not used the police, they have refrained from using police because they created spaces for the violence to occur.

San Fransisco, for example, has suggested that martial law is here to stay, indefinitely.... because that isn't ominous enough... Now the BLMs twitteratn are calling for protests to move to the suburbs, to take what is "theirs".

Hmm... I suppose that you can't accept that your liberal leftist leadership have suddenly turned toward their chinese example of authoritarianism. It must hurt knowing that you've supported these cretins and your'e responsible for their entitled willingness to subject this nation to their plantation and it's brutality to come.

Working in Seattle today, got an emergency alert on my phone (which I had gps location turned OFF btw...) that a city curfew went into effect at 5pm. When I was leaving at 6pm it didn't appear that anyone was following it nor did I see any sign it was being enforced.

Once again, it seems WA is all about towing the establishment narrative but unwilling to go any further.

Which I suppose is way better than actually enforcing authoritarianism...

Doesn't mean that the GOP governors had to go along with it. Your partisan blinders need adjusting.

The simple fact he absolutely no legal authority to do so. But if signing a meaningless executive order makes him and his mindless sycophants happy, more power to 'em...

No no no. The Dems want this. Starting with the little mayor of Minneapolis who said "they are just buildings" when he refused to stop the looters.

The REAL question now is- will uncle Donnie step in and if he does what will the left say? He is taking over the cities?? He is rounding up illegals?? Who knows...

That is completely untrue - he certainly wasn't there to support any liberals. Whether that oversight was deliberate on your part, I won't speculate.

There were 12 arrests and 11 convictions. Of that 11, 9 were alt-right bitches. One of those alt-right bitches was dishonorably discharged from the Marines for what he did that weekend as an alt-right bitch. Only alt-right bitches were deemed worthy of jail time, and all the convicted alt-right bitches had to serve some - several are still in prison for their stupidity on that day.

He's not king or God. He has no legal authority to deem a domestic organization as terrorists. End of story.

Whether or not you agree with him is irrelevant. It has never been, nor will it ever be, up to the President to declare a domestic organization to be a terrorist group. It is not within the limits of his authority. Unless, of course, you think that the next Democrat (or Socialist) in the Oval Office should be able to do the same to whomever he/she sees fit.

    Think hard, Mr. Faust...

Do you realise that you just implied that anyone who is not white is trash?

And you wonder why people conclude that Trump supporters are racist. Smh.
