Story here This 13 year old student was twirling a pencil between his fingers. Another student accused him of making gun gestures so he was suspended then had to take a psyche evaluation. Yes, apparently a bored teenager fidgeting is a bluntly obvious red flag that he might be the next domestic terrorist.
There will be an economic collapse in the US within our lifetimes, probably within 10 years, due to Obamacare, all the baby boomers retiring, etc. It will probably lead to a civil war, if not complete horror.

My God people, wake up and get your kids out of government schools IF at all possible. If you can't then at least take the time to go to school board meetings and try to take some action. I hope everyone realizes that the children of the rich and powerful don't have to follow the same BS rules, ie. No Child Gets Ahead and Common Core that the peasants do..
I think teachers know their students pretty well, this should of been a no brainer, when you give the bullies that know the system the best the power to misuse it... they will.. why.. cause they are bullies time to end zero tolerance and begin common sense .

not sure who was responsible for this zero policy law, but I assume they thought teachers would use common sense.. I also do not know the party affiliation of the teachers\students\principals in this story... so I believe your guessing there . .
The accused student should have loosened a few of his accuser's teeth. Then they would have a valid reason to suspend him instead of this growing level of stupidity.
It boggles the mind. I graduated high school only a few years ago. Students were allowed to decorate their caps however they wanted so one of my friends glued some .380 ammo to his cap and nobody gave it a second thought.

Yeah that's true. I live in a small hick town. In light of recent shootings they might be a bit more sensitive about the issue, but still probably wouldn't make that big a deal of it.
BS, most of the zero tolerance rules in the Texas schools were pushed and supported by Cons. It is the Lazy way of doing things, instead of a school official determining the facts behind any incident they now simply say you broke a rule and this is the punishment, no effort and no common sense. To attempt to say this is a Lib issue is being dishonest in the extreme. It only teaches students that there is no justice.
This isn't a liberal/conservative issue. There are liberals that like guns and conservatives that hate them. The way I see it both sides have a hand in this.
I agree, my comment was in reference to the post claiming it was a Lib thing while ignoring the fact that both sides supported the dumb rules.
