EVERYTIME Glenn goes into one of his "The Apocalypse MAY be imminent" rants.....from "hyper-inflation" to "Iran on the verge of testing a ICBM with a nuke that could hit America" or an "Ebola pandemic".... he ALWAYS ends the rant with..... "And now a word from our sponsor.....Goldline."?
I'm about as conservative as you can get but I can't stand Glenn Beck and won't watch or listen to him. He's a human version of the Pillsbury Dough Boy.
Beck's a con-man. I think LOTS of conservatives know it. (Less his fans, of course). He's also a proven liar. Google "Glenn Beck Washington Inaugural claim". But he's smart. He figured out under Dubya and the GOP Congress (2003-2006) something that Limbaugh and Hannity never counted on.... If you are a die-hard Republican Party booster (like Sean and Rush) what do you BLAME things on, when the GOP controls EVERYTHING (House, Senate, White House)? You can't....you have to "play defense". Beck saw that. So now, despite supporting a lot of Republicans (Bachmann, Santorum, Rand Paul, Cruz).....Beck declares himself (and his audience of course) as PURER than the Republican Party, even tries "Both Parties are bad". He knows that if a GOP President and GOP Congress ever come back to power, he has to leave himself some "wiggle room" to be able to deny he was a cheerleader for them. He's also figured out how to combine RELIGION with his politics. Half his show now sounds like a televangelist. If you have "God on your side"....it's a whole lot easier to dismiss criticism...isn't it? But mostly he just finds new ways to bilk his marks out of their money.....Goldline, Food Insurance, MyPatriotSupplies, etc. Keep 'em scared...and keep 'em buying Doomsday crap.
