I'm on my tenth season in our league. I find it pretty fun. Just wondering if anyone else is into it. It would be fun to discuss the whole concept. To me its made me look at the NFL totally differently. Now I root for teams and watch games I never would have before. Thanks in advance for any responses...
OP, I'm in the most competitive fantasy footbal league in the world. why do you ask? My roster looks like this: Starters QB- Aaron Rodgers RB- Ahmad Bradshaw RB- Frank Gore WR - Marques Colston WR - Greg Jennings WR- Darius Heyward-Bey TE- Vernon Davis K - Jason Hansen DST - Steelers Bench: QB- Big Ben Roethlisberger RB - Michael Bush RB - Kendall Hunter RB- Lagarette Blount WR- Torrey Smith TE- Jermain Gresham Anybody here got a better roster? I doubt it but let's see it anyway.
How many teams are in your league? I have a team and my roster is way worse, but it's a 16-team league so the talent pool gets depleted way quicker.
We go winner last, new guy first, everyone else where we finished... Draft is about 3-4 hours of draft, all fun, as we have been separated by distance and circumstances... Cool to be all together for a few hours... We started my freshman year of college, so it has always been fun!
Cool! My league is all old buds from HS and newbies, but they defer to us, and are all cool anyway! Good luck this season!
The league I am in perennially is trying to figure out a new way to set up the draft. Normally we just do random order snake, but some people complain about it not giving the people that finished last a chance. By the way, it's not a keeper league. Your draft sounds pretty good. After last year's winner drafts, do you snake it so he/she gets the first pick in the next round or is it more NFL draft-style?
We go last season and bump all newbies two or three slots... Champ is last, put the newbies somewhere in the middle... I've been in the same league like 10 years now, newbies get 5-6 slots on draft normally... Unless we all figure we don't like them and give them 9 or 10...
Its actually fun, you watch all the games you have players in and care a lot more... More than just watching YOUR team, but you have to pay attention all week on injuries and stuff....
