He is not a hothead and can be as effective in world politics as anyone ... Here is his interview on Oprah over 25 years ago ... He is not saying anything new he was not saying before. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEPs17_AkTI
Thus what constitutes being a hothead is relative to the individual. And some of his positions have changed over the last 25 years. Interesting in the interview how he says he will "make" our allies do something. Trump suffers from the delusion that he can make countries do his bidding. In the clip he does not seem to understand the limits of our power and displays his lack of leadership through diplomacy. And and listening to what he says today he still suffers from the delusion that he can control other countries.
This is unfair ... "Trump suffers from the delusion that he can make countries do his bidding. In the clip he does not seem to understand the limits of our power and displays his lack of leadership through diplomacy. And and listening to what he says today he still suffers from the delusion that he can control other countries". What makes you say Trump is delusional? Do you have experience in international deal making, in business? How about making billions of dollars? You do not ... so how do you know he is delusional?
Because I understand that it is impossible to control others from individuals to countries. "Make", in the context of making someone or a country do what I want, is impossible without the application of force which removes choice. For example I challange you to "make me" do something that I do not want to do. Do you think that you can? If you tell me to do something then I have a choice to do as you say or refuse your order. If I refuse then the only way you can make me acquiesce is to use some form of leverage that removes choice from the equation. Trump says he will build a wall along the U.S. Mexican border and "make" Mexico pay for it. So how exactly does Trump intend to "make" Mexico pay billions of dollars for the wall? Fees that will have to pass the House and Senate? Heck, even before that how does he get the House and the Senate to back his plan? And those fees will pay for the billion+ dollar cost of the wall? Perhaps but over what timeline? One year, ten years, one hundred years, a thousand... an untill the balance is payed in full it is Americans who will be paying for the wall? Where does the inital investment come from? Will he have to raise taxes or cut programs to offset the inital cost? Even if he succeeds there is cause and effect and the effect may not be so positive as envisioned. Moot point as experience in business at an international level and being a billionaire is not a requisite to be president nor does it ensure that a president with said credentials will be a good president. There is a difference between what Trump says he will do and what he can actually do. The reality of the Office of the President smashes many of the idealistic promises made while on the campaign trail... and if Trump wins he will likely be no different.
To claim to know the minds of 320 million people minus Kelly is a silly claim to make. I like how you cap-lock the not as if that makes the claim true.
Anyone even paying half attention knows that Kelly's question had nothing to do with the debate. It was not even a by-line in any news story. She took a private, off the cuff comment made by Trump and tried to turn it into a political issue. I did NOT use my cap-lock at any time. I can type holding the shift key...try it sometime.
I surrender my position on the inaccurate accusation of your use of cap lock, but stand by my previous claim that "To claim to know the minds of 320 million people minus Kelly is a silly claim to make". Trump's response to her claim lent credit to her claim. He could have easily gave a rebuttal without the character assignation and won the respect of people like me for it. I liked Trump at first, but my view has soured since with his liberal use of overstatements and personal attacks. Trump's base is strong but not strong enough to win him the election. He needs independents like me and his cavalier attitude may cost him more votes than it gains him.
I do not watch her show anymore. She is, candidly, notably a liar and is very pointed directly, in snarky comments and who she puts on very clear who she opposes and supports. In general, I dislike how she plays her acting role, but that is a matter of personal tastes. As for those who believe she is attractive, she is a woman of a personality and attitude I would completely avoid. As for looks alone she's average. - - - Updated - - - I'm surprised some company hasn't come out with a hair dye for which the color is called "Fox Blonde."
I agree - Fox carries water for the right. Now for a consistancy check...is Fox the only major media outlet with a bias, or does MSNBC carry water for the left? It's an easy question, but your answer will reveal if you are a partisan hack or not, so I'll understand if you choose not to answer.
