The love for guns is not a lobby. It’s a constitutional right that unfortunately has to be lobbied for because of how many people fear something that should not be feared. Gun handling should be taught in schools in my opinion.

Of course, it has nothing at all to do with a woman in Congress that has her four kids in front of a CHRISTMAS TREE with guns just days after a kid (with the help of his parents) just shot four kids in school. The picture truly captures the "peace on earth, good will towards men" meaning of the season.

I pointed out that the Pharmaceutical DWARFS the gun lobby and by far more people die from Pharmaceutical overdoses than that of gun suicides. And it's pretty asinine of you to claim I am justifying deaths by guns by pointing out to you a vastly larger problem in this nation. I surely don't claim you are justifying overdose deaths because you advocate against guns.

Also, where in the hell did you ever get that Opioids are illegal in this country? Opioids alone are a 25 billion a year windfall for Pharmaceutical companies. They make them more addictive not out of good conscience!

People with natural immunity have more protection than double-dose vaccinated per the new Israel Study released today.... and per virtually every study on the matter. It is the Science deniers that are ignoring natural immunity in those that have recovered.

 

People have the freedom to make choices, at least most of the time.
I don't have a problem with people teaching their kids gun safety, it should be done if they are to handle weapons, and maybe everyone should, just in case they run across them.
I do find it mildly disturbing that people glorify guns, like having their family pose for pictures holding guns. Why would people glorify them? Because, for some, guns represent power, and they somehow feel more powerful when they are holding guns. That is the exact sentiment that leads to shootings, that the person with the gun gets to wield that power over others, usually people they don't agree with or maybe have slighted them in the past (bullying, arguments, etc).
To me, taking pictures like that indicate that those people are reveling in the power of a gun. Not hunting or target shooting, but power. To me, this is the biggest danger of guns, combined with the sheer numbers of them so keeping them out of the hands of those who shouldn't have them almost impossible.
That being said, hopefully AOC learns how to control her messaging. She sometimes shoots off her mouth when she should be quiet. I think she was biased based on Boebert's recent actions/words about her buddy, Omar.
