I been really busy with life so didn't have the time to spent a lot of time on this forum. But now I'm back and I want to learn more about politics. However, the big question is, does it matter? I mean there are a lot of people walking around having no idea and care what's going on in DC. I didn't care either, but now I want to care and know what's going on. But my question to you all is does it really matter or should I just go on with my life, stop going on this forum and let politicians do their job.

95% of the country doesn't give a thought to politics except between October and the first Tuesday of an election year. About 50-70% of those people vote for people and initiatives they know nothing about other than what they heard on a TV commercial. You are vastly outnumbered.

This forum is not going to change the behavior of politicians.

so why are you guys even discussing politics, if nobody care and you don't make a difference. Aren't you wasting your life? why don't you go learn a hobby? I guess I'll just leave this forum and stay ignorant.

All one has to do is follow the Tea Party "followers". They vote against their own self interest with great regularity. Blinded by their racial hatred the refuse to stimulate the economy preferring to drive our economy over the edge rater than help themselves

To answer your question, yes. Absolutely! People are more concerned about the interests of their respective party, whether it be Democrat, Republican, etc., that they are completely oblivious to problems of our country.

Yeah, everybody knows ain't aren't proper. I be knowin that.

I think propoganda bought and paid for is ruining this country.

People hear something on the television or hear it on the radio and immediatly agree and never give it any thought.

So I would have to agree that ignorance is destroying this country, politcal and otherwise.

Most Americans are complacent and just accept politics as usual.
