I'm addicted to documentaries, recently I came across one discussing chromosomes. It turns out that the reason why cells die is because the telomeres get shorter each time the cell divides. So, it looks like the key to longevity is a solution to keep the telomeres from shortening! Thoughts? I'm definitely not a scientist by any means, but this seems to make sense to me. http://learn.genetics.utah.edu/content/chromosomes/telomeres/
