I have read parts of it, but is comlete gibberish compared to the real word of the living God, whose only begotten Son gave his life for our sin, and he sent the Holy Spirit to lead us in truth. Muhammud is a false prophet, and Allah is a dead god.

I don't think it is healthy to live your life in fear, it only leads to unhappiness, irrational prejudice and the inability to think clearly.

 

I've never heard of this hadith! I feel like there is such a quest on this planet to make people think Islam puts down women when on the contrary, it elevates them more than any other faith or government ever has.

 

Well I heard that too. Although I largely think that is just a spoonful of sugar. I mean the reason often given by the faithful as to why you would rather endure a punishment from earthly authorities is that God's punishment is worse than their punishment, and that his blessings are better than earthly blessings.

Bottom line is if you believe in God it's better to offend other people than it is to offend God.

Secular governments which grant women equal rights are far superior to any Islamic based tyranny ever in existence.

 

It's obvious that women liked to be controlled because they fanatically support the system that enables men to control them. It's like women who vote for crazy Republican men. They want to be dominated.

I do not need to know anything about you. What I do know is the truth, which is all I need to know. My intent is to share that truth with love. Kinda difficult, but I am determined to give it a go. The indeterminate variable is that people will listen and consider.

 

Then why do you make such a big deal about knowing more than others? I agree that those who want to seek greater understanding of God need to focus on that goal. They shouldn't stop to compare themselves to others by declaring they "know better" since only God knows whether that belief is truth or a lie.

If someone declares they believe something that is not true, and I know it, should I not attempt to help them see their error? Consider the following:

I just read the Qur'an from start to finish. NOTHING is translated in this way. This is a travesty mockery of God's word- so shame on you. Those who are afraid of truth spend their precious time on this earth spreading lies. How sad.

Surah 4:34 ; The word used here is "kavvam" , not marked superiority , is duty to preserve , so verse says men must protect women . Not an inequality , physical differences . The same word used in this verses as "protect" , "pay attention" >>> (4:135) - (5: - (4:127) - (2:229) - (20:14) - (55:9) .... But its translated as "men are superior" in this verse . Why ? Because of self intrests , by whom ? Umayyads ? Abbasids ? or another selfish people .

Other word used here is "gayb" , it means protect the right of all kinds of man .

The wrong translation is on the word "daraba" , this word is a very significant word and meaning varies according to the location of use . Travel , go out , hit , beat , put forth , exemplify , remove the responsibility , cover , explain , being convicted ... etc... As like the word "beat it " in English .

 

I don't believe in translating the Bible or the Koran each time I read them. Other people have done that so I'm content with reading what they wrote. A misused word here and there doesn't change the overall idea that's being expressed.

 

This is one of those typical cherry picking Qur'an verses to try to condemn Islam websites. If you can't have a discussion about the truth of Islam or Qur'an, it's pointless because you are only wanting to find fault and rely on websites that support anything negatively perceived by people that have no clue what they are talk about.

The problem with the Koran or the Bible or the Torah....is not so much what is written in the books but the problem lies in some of the COMPLETE IDIOTS that read and interpret those words.

I can't tell you how many of such Morons I have had to deal with in my lifetime.

There's no cherry-picking involved. You can easily search the Bible and the Koran for passages about various topics and you will find that the overall message among them is consistent. The Bible has two opinions about everything whereas the Koran has a narrower focus. But it's still possible to find conflicting opinions in the Koran.

Islam is a male-dominated religion. If women could participate more equally it might become a better religion.
