And you are blind, if you think that the level of corruption in our federal government isn't an everyday, commonplace thing.

Far from "Normal" to be sure, but Trump is hardly the only "Outrageous-ly" corrupt politician in Washington, & Republicans don't solely own the heart of it

    Agree.

People usually tend to not stay for long in an environment where they don't fit the culture. Either they leave on their own accord or they're pushed out the door if they don't assimilate and perform toward the company goals and their job requirements. However, diversity in people's backgrounds (education, training, skills, experience) can be a good thing for a company so long as everyone is committed to the vision and mission of the organization.

Many Americans from all political spectrums would share that exact sentiment.

The U.S. Constitution is our nation--without it we are no longer a country.

Aptly said! To quote Abraham Lincoln: “Don't interfere with anything in the Constitution. That must be maintained, for it is the only safeguard of our liberties.”

Your only safeguard against what, tyranny? Tyranny of whom? Oh, yeah, government, that thing that Abe headed and used to butcher 3/4ths of a million people on account of: they didn't want to be in his club on more, that thing that the constitution gave birth to.

One can be both a proud American while still being able to be objective in an examination of our National flaws.

The constitution was written to be AMENDED to keep it up to date.

All that needs to be done is to pass whatever amendments are necessary.

I am proud to be an American because here in America we value the individual above the collective. It makes us unique. As a retired Marine it is my absolute pride to live in this country.

The corruption has been extrapolated to unprecedented levels by Trump and that is a fact that you can deny but it won't be any less of a fact just because you are denying it.

It is my beliefe that, it is the media, (which these days includes Carpe Diem basement dwelling bloggers) that is shining more lights, in more paces, exposing actual, & faux corruption, on a scale never seen before, rather than Trump hiding a set of horns under that quaf.

All of this is pointless to point out, if one believes it's the persons, & NOT the system itself, that is corrupt.

The Founding Fathers implemented a gun registry of every firearm, owner and the amount of ammunition they had available.

If it was good enough for the Founding Fathers why is not good enough for the NRA today?

What's wrong with making it set in stone public servants and those in a place o business cannot infringe on transactions using personal, convicted beliefs?

A single pistol, sure. But not these rounds of ammunition that shoot off at once. Keep that in the video games, but not in real life.

"Yes." Politicians (good and bad) come and go. The republic endures.

That people cannot use convictions to some higher power, nor be protected, for refusing to conduct public business.

That is already the Law of the Land.

Discrimination is illegal irrespective of the basis for discriminating.

Anyone engaging in business does so under the Law of the Land and therefore is prohibited from discriminating.

What you are looking for, if I understand where you are coming from, is better education of those who engage in business transactions with the public.

If that was the law of the land, then Kim Davis would have had no legal standing, or reasoning, for refusing to issue a marriage certificate to that same-sex couple, since she is a public servant working for the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

That is correct, she did NOT have any legal standing whatsoever for denying them the marriage certificate.
