How exactly do you expect to find fraud in mail in ballots without proper signature verification? Moreover if you know proper signature verification wasn’t done, then on what grounds do you assert the vote was legitimate?
You need to prove the ones you claim were not filed by that voter. Just saying "signatures aren't identical" isn't enough.
So you’re asserting that if the signature CLEARLY doesn’t match, that vote should still count until that voter is contacted personally? Is that how they did it during the election? No they just skipped the signature verification part right? Or do you expect me to believe that 10’s of millions of signatures were properly and duly verified in a matter of days by people who had little to no training on signature verification?
By "proper signature verification" do you mean matching signatures even though there are some differences, or are you going to throw a hiss fit if they don't dot their "i"'s in the same place? You better show some real fraud, not an argument over signature matching.
The fraud is IN the signature matching. And is the ONLY way to determine the legitimacy of mail in ballots. If you know of another way of verifying the authenticity of a mail in vote, then please, by all means tell me what it is. How do you verify that the ballot which came in was sent by the person who they are claiming they are and not simply taken from their mailbox and sent in?
If the actual voter signed the ballot, how can you argue that it isn't their signature. Signatures change over time, therefore they won't be identical. If you are going to present signatures that simply aren't identical, then you are going to be laughed at. The signatures have to be DIFFERENT in order to be rejected. Remember, you are claiming widespread FRAUD.
By the signature being different or by the voter voting twice. Different in this case means a signature which is clearly different. So if that is the end game for this audit, to claim differences in signatures to throw out valid ballots, the audit is already a farce. You promise fraud, you better show some fraud.
I have absolutely no problem with contacting the voters individually. That’s the process that would occur if signature verification is used properly to begin with. Let me show you how I KNOW that signature verification was not done properly. This is the standard procedure for signature verification in most states/counties: “The three-tier signature process begins with an entry-level election official’s visual evaluation of whether the ballot envelope's signature is a 100 percent match with the voter’s signatures on file. If not, it’s flagged as an “exception” and proceeds to a team of two certified managers who must agree that it doesn’t match. If they agree that it doesn't, the voter is contacted and offered a chance to fix it.“ Now we know, as you stated, signatures change over time. Yet we have a rate of just .3% of signatures which were flagged for exceptions. Those exceptions should be flagged ANY time the signature is not a 100% match to the signature on file. Do you believe that 99.7% of all of the tens of millions of ballots had perfect 100% matching signatures based upon these criteria that election workers are allowed to look at: Election workers may analyze the following aspects of a voter's handwriting in order to compare and verify signatures: Slant: Signatures from the same voter's hand should be slanted, or angled, in the same way. For example, if a voter's registration record signature includes letters that slant noticeably to the right, an election worker might look for the same slant in the voter's ballot return paperwork signature. Size and proportion of letters: When comparing signatures, an observer would expect the letters in each to be approximately the same size and share the same rough proportions to other letters. If, for example, one signature features a capital "A" that is noticeably larger than the capital "A" in the signature against which it is being compared, it might be determined that the two do not match. Shape of letters: Individual letters in signatures from the same voter's hand should share the same shape. For example, if the capital "A" in one signature is written in block letters and the "A" in another is written in traditional script, an election worker might determine that the two do not match. Ending strokes: Some signatures feature long ending strokes. If one signature features a long ending stroke and the other doesn't, they may not have come from the same hand. Speed of writing: A signature lacking fluidity, that appears halting, might suggest that the individual signing it was writing slowly in an attempt to replicate someone else's signature. Pen lifts: If someone is attempting to replicate someone else's signature, there might be observable pen lifts (i.e., marks indicating that the pen was lifted from the paper) in the forged signature. I think not.
I thought Dominion was supposed to have 'rigged' the counting with their machines (with Venezuela's help?). Was it that or was it yuge numbers of fraudulent ballots which, so far, no one has actually been able to find?
The Myth of Voter Fraud Extensive research reveals that fraud is very rare. Yet repeated, false allegations of fraud can make it harder for millions of eligible Americans to participate in elections. https://www.brennancenter.org/issue...an-can-vote/vote-suppression/myth-voter-fraud Ignoring false claims by anti-democratic forces in this country of massive voter fraud, a major voting issue is that most eligible Americans don't vote, which includes registered voters.
You are skipping a couple of steps in Arizona and many other states. The two member team is trained in evaluating the signatures, so a 100% match is not required. Then the 2nd step is that voters are given notice of the discrepancy and given 5 days to cure it. Finally, if only 300 of 1.2 million ballots were rejected in AZ in 2018, why would I expect it to be much more in 2020? So yes, I believe that only .3% of ballots were flagged for the voter to cure.
My son's mail ballot was flagged in our county as his signature was not even close. The downfall of schools not teaching cursive after the 4th grade. He was able to go down and prove it was his.
Telling ya what.... I'm all for multiple methods of getting one's ballot back, and as early as possible. But I cannot foresee the circumstances where I will have some yahoo underpaid polling person comparing my signature to something I probably signed 25 years ago... Ergo, there is a near zero chance I will ever vote by mail... Just too many chances for problems there...
From my understanding is the machines will do a recount and that will be audited along with signature validation which I am sure they are verifying that those who voted were those that were registered and a time stamp on the mail in ballots.. There really isn't much else.
Ahh.. here we go... transparency to the max SNIP A contractor hired by Arizona's state Senate to oversee the recount of 2.1 million ballots from November's election in the county that includes the metro Phoenix area wants a judge to keep secret its methods for ensuring ballot privacy. ENDSNIP https://www.yahoo.com/news/firm-recounting-arizona-ballots-wants-164149592.html This has become the biggest joke... Mike Lindell would do a better job here, and he's completely nuts... I think it's time to move on from this circular firing squad.... I just hope Arizona independents are watching this nonsense closely...
Oh, I expect they'll find "something", which is what most people call "nothing"... If their "counts" are one vote off, the Pacific Ocean doesn't contain enough water to put the fire in their (collective) hair out... Much like the Durham "investigation".... They** found an FBI guy who did something pretty stupid to save some time and....Whoopsie... entire Mueller investigation invalid. Prepare for something similar... ** Well, actually, that was the IG, not the Durham "investigation"...
LOL! Sorry, that's just too funny! Wait, that means that all of Trump's votes are "questionable". Did anyone actually vote for Trump, or was it all made up? I think Trump actually only got 10-15 million votes. The rest was made up from Republican strongholds from people voting "Trump" for their dead parents and grandparents. I knew there was something amiss!!
This year was the first year I have voted by mail with the exception of when I was overseas in the Marines, and if I have my way I will never vote any other way again. It was so simple and I was able to track my ballot from the time I mailed it back till it was accepted and then tabulated. As for the age of your signature, you can update if you like, there is no law against it. I do not really have that problem as I have never lived anywhere in my life longer than 10 years, typically much shorter than that.
Well, as long as you find a method that works for you, and your state (and USPS) doesn't monkey up the works next time... Me? I like pushing my ballot into the secure box myself. The 3 in my house all voted (way) early in person this year, Sept 28th to be specific... I really hope Virginia pushes early voting again.... it was real popular... Nearly 1.8 Million voted early in person out of 4.4 million total. We will... we have real government now, which should continue with our new Gov this November... I got into some fun discussions with the wingers who didn't like the fact that I was voting before the Angry Grampa Debates started.... Like that was going to make any difference in 2020.... Ha Ha!!
