[The only folks moved by something like this are the ones who resolutely try to impregnate themselves day after day after day in the hopes that they one day succeed.

The murderous Jihadis who just recently attacked the WestGate Mall, Aaron Alexis, the nineteen original 9/11 hijackers, the 9/11 Benghazi attackers, the Chechen jihadis who carried out the Beslan school massacre, not so much.

Adolph Hitler and his Foreign Minister Von Ribbentrop were incensed that Neville Chamberlain had agreed to their demands about the Sudeten Germans and deprived them of "Their War". They both agreed, after Chamberlain had left the room, that they would not be so deprived the next time. I'm sure Mssrs Rouhani, Ahmadinejad and the Mullahs all feel the same way.

The folks at the NYT, the WaPo, other media outlets and more than a handful of art history professors around the world will likely be all atwitter about this, though.]

"A pair of British artists have created this stunning installation of 9,000 silhouettes on a D-Day Landings beach to mark international Peace Day.

The project, named, 'The Fallen' is a tribute to the civilians, German forces and Allies who lost their lives during the Operation Neptune landing on June 6, 1944.

The design was the brainchild of Jamie Wardley, 33, and Andy Moss, 50.

Together with a team of volunteers the pair travelled to Arromanches beach, Normandy, to create the silhouettes, which were individually drawn into the sand."
