It seems to me that atheists would be indifferent to religion but, oddly, they insist on criticizing it.
They view it as the reason for all the troubles in the world. Atheism has never been an intellectual pursuit it's simply an emotional response to how on occasion the worlds religions are abused by powerful people to do bad things. It's just like the socialist emotional response to the percieved abuses by capitalists. No substance in fact just pure emotion, usually anger.
The election will have little to do with Sanders not being a practising Jew and everything to do with the fact he is a full blown communist.
