Because no matter what you can conjure up in your mind of the outcome of a voluntary society, the states have done worse.

Ask an anarchist nothing in this thread.

Any ideology COULD be done better.

However let's face it, the same idiots who screwed this up would screw anything up.

In my mind it is only a matter of common human decency. I have seen aristocracy form MANY times, and in every case the aristocracy believes money, wealth, comfort, and prosperity is best in ITS hands, and in every case it leads to the decomposition of the state.

I rarely hear a good argument for anarchism.

On the bright side... 2016 will be a VERY GOOD election, because there will be a new Democrat, and also perhaps the Republicans won't volley the same type of buffoon they have been volleying before.

You people don't understand that anarchy is not lawlessness.

You failed the test. That's why I asked you not to ask questions. Everything you support is worse.

Never did I say it was lawlessness. I said no one as ever argued a good case as to why it would be successful.

Yes they have. Murray Rothbard, Walter Block, even Noam Chomsky, although I think syndicalism is unicornism.

And that is why it's not a good argument. How do you ensure that there will be more freedom without a state?

Maybe freedom is not even the ultimate goal. Maybe morality is the goal, and the state is based on the immoral act of forcing people into the defined principles and required collective funding for an imaginary statist boundary.

Okay... But how do you obtain that without a state?

    Insurance, my dear Jonelyn.

Let's play a game that Stefan Molyneux likes to play, you come up with private ways to solve the problems you think only a state (forced confiscation of wealth) can solve. Name thy impossibilities.

I will give an easy one.

No. I don't think the state is good at anything. The difference between me and anarchist is that we want the state out of those sectors of the economy, not gone.

Being a Capitalist, I understand there is a role for Government, which should be there to guarantee private property and maintain a consistent rule of law. I think Stefan Molyneux believes in Capitalism too. Sometimes I just listen to him and he comes off as a real wimp.

He's not the best at economics for sure, as the anarchocapos have ripped him to shreds a few times, it was just his game.

What does the state do to ensure private property is protected that private insurance and defense could not do? We'd have to walk it all back gradually of course, but you must follow it all to the logical end.

He destroyed the innocence of a defenseless child by committing a violent sexual act.

    See, don't think of lawlessness.

This piece of (*)(*)(*)(*) would be at the full mercy of the family of that child. There are many ways to think of how he would be punished actually. Like I said before, anarchism is not lawlessness, it's just not monopolized statist injustice. The anarchist punishment may indeed be even more harsh.

See Hans Hoppe btw, for one of the best.
Lysander Spooner, another good one, an old timer long gone. Hoppe's still living.

I'm sure under a utopian anarchist society, the private insurance and defense can protect and guarantee property rights just as well as the state. But what does the people have to ensure that force and fraud is unprofitable?

Okay, now (*)(*)(*)(*) is about to get real.

All drugs are legalized, obviously, so now every other person's kid is shooting up dope.

Solution if not an all out war?

Competition. What do the people have now to ensure anything when the government is nothing but whatever the elites or majority wish it to be?

Government brutally assaults private property on a daily basis.

Is that compared to the prohibition on alcohol? The peoples children will not shoot more dope if it's legal. They will act according to their own higher knowledge and morality. If there is a major problem, the people fund the defense right out of their pockets and would make it a priority.
