It’s definitely tyranny. This disease isn’t going anywhere. This is suppose to be the lighter of the mutations, the one easier to survive but it made Australia’s death rate climb at what percentage? In the thousands?

 

So are y'all locking back down?

 

What is that increase in percentage? Wasn’t this virus supposed to be milder?

Are you suggesting that Australians had two years mask free and virus free living like 2019? Did I miss something? You guys have been locked down like rats in a cage.

 

The site did not say if those deaths were linked to Omicron or Delta and as we still have both circulating……

Also we have ended “lockdowns” - we are still masking up and people are for the most part being really good about that but at the present we are almost deliberately letting the surge peak now we are at over 90% vaccinated

They're the things you have to do if you want no COVID in the community. So you can, you know .... be free.

 

Yes we did - a couple of weeks here and there but because of hotel quarantine we mostly kept it out of Australia. Once we hit over 90% vaccinated though we have ended a lot of that. Still using masks here though because although vaccinations vastly cut the hospitalisation rate it does not stop it and full respiratory precautions inside a hospital are labour intensive so makes sense to slow the spread even for a week or two to keep pressure off of the hospital system

 

Even with that there is no comparison of under 3,000 dead compared to over 3/4 million dead

Where I live, yes. We had two lockdowns, but other than that basically no COVID. While you were still in your perma-semi-lockdown, masked up, and dying in droves .. we were actually living as though COVID had never existed. Same in New Zealand, Vietnam, Taiwan, and a few other places.

I was never locked down, I wore a mask when it was required by the places I went into and I got the shots. So far, I ain't dead.

Just keep in mind that at the moment, in my state out of 86,000 active cases at the moment 819 are in hospital,50 are in ICU and only 18 of those require ventilation

 

We only restricted movement at the boarder and then only from where there were active outbreaks - restriction into the country of course. Two week hotel quarantine and the so called “Internment camp” was an abandoned mining housing settlement in the Northern Territory so separate houses in a little self contained township where you stayed for just 2 weeks

 

And you went in and out as you chose ?

 

How about you celebrate our Govt's decision to have no more lockdowns, and the subsequent result of that decision?

 

You lived there and if you're happy with how you got to this point then well and good.

 

How about you do the celebrating, I never saw anyone locked down. Businesses were shut down but there was no home confinement.

Except for the first few weeks when EVERYONE in the world was panicking we were never on home confinement, unless of course you tested positive and then it was only for two weeks

The right Wing websites in America seem to have made a real “Bogey Man” out of Australia and these are the same sites that are discouraging vaccinations!! Way to go to wipe out your base!!!
