This is making big news in Australia at the moment. Journalist Tara Brown and her 60 Minutes crew have been held in custody in Beirut for aiding the abduction of children from their Lebanese father and grandmother. The mother of the children engaged a child recovery agency the retrieve her children and return them back to Australia. Apparently, Channel Nine and 60 Minutes paid the agency up to 120,000AUD to conduct the abduction. Channel Nine is denying the claim. Cue nationalistic outrage. Though I hope not. The obvious example is a snatch crew and tv outfit from Lebanon snatching kids from a street in an Australian city. Wrong either way.
Update... Tara Brown, the mother of the children and the news crew have been charged with kidnapping. http://www.theage.com.au/world/60-m...mally-charged-in-lebanon-20160412-go4qru.html
I admit this story is quite upsetting for me... what a mess, I would like to think Channel Nine did this not only for the story but because they believed they were doing the right thing. As a mother I'd do anything to get my kids back.
The Lebanese police found them at a safe house in Lebanon, looks like the mother used her mobile phone... bet that's how they found them The 60 Minutes Lebanon Saga Explained
