Despite strict gun control laws in Maryland, no one bangs like the B-more bangers. Chicago gets lots of publicity, however Baltimore is a far deadlier city. In Chiraq it takes over 5 shootings to produce one kill or a better than 5:1 ration. However in Baltimore it takes only 3 shootings to produce a kill or a 3:1 ratio. The bangers have completely ignored registration as well the "high capacity" magazine laws. So much for gun control in Baltimore and the completely idiotic Martin O'Malley and his laws. I think watching the show is much better. I'd even do pay for view. Here's an example why B-more is so much more deadly than the average banger town. Monday's two fatal victims involve a mother and son team in which both victims were shot in the head. The number of head shots in B-more as well as the willingness to shoot everyone nearby to avoid leaving behind witnesses is a Baltimore banger trademark. It's coming to a town near you.
I currently live in Portland Oregon, while not as bad as Baltimore, I also for a time lived in Southern Maryland and it was getting bad by then, not so very far from Baltimore either.
I just got back from B-more on business. The city changes on a dime. There's not much transition to the "hood" it just appears out of nowhere. Not much grey zone or buffer that you would get in most cities. It's also packed tight with narrow streets and lots of row houses so you can see how the action can get pretty deadly especially since the bangers seem to like shotguns more than most.
YOU TAKE THAT BACK! Chicago bangers may need more range time, but they're just as dedicated to their work as anybody else's bangers. I thought we were having a civil conversation here.
Well, the way I see it, if property values go down far enough, then good law abiding citizens can buy up cheap property, and move in and clean house.....
There, you've said it. Lets put it in words a liberal could understand. Phrases like "if it just saves one life" and other stupid shizer progressives say. A banger who gets clipped early in the game according to your line of thought is a public service.
We don't need to put it in a hypothetical persons mouth. We can use your words. Gun deaths are a public service and we need more of them. Right?
Lets talk about one Quinzell Covington. The "Q" is now doing a stretch in prison for murder. He's another B-more banger, just a bit more talented at the game than most. Q worked his first drive by at 13 as an observer/trainee. By 15 he was doing the shooting. Q is also the prime suspect in as many as 14 other homicides and a multitude of other shootings. He operated for over a decade without getting shot or caught. He wasn't extraordinary, just talented which means he made the A team. There were a lot more out there like him. So lets examine this. If someone, not just LEO, but anyone would have clipped Q early on in his career, just think of the lives and grief saved. I'd call that a public service. What would you call it?
Who are you to be the judge and jury? Mark Wahlberg could have a career criminal. As a 13-year-old, he developed an addiction to cocaine, and at 14, he stopped attending school. His low point came at 16, when he was charged with attempted murder for beating a Vietnamese refugee with a metal hook, leaving the victim blind. He was sentenced to two years in prison, but served just 45 days. And then he turned it around.
Please, you're going to equate MarkyMark to Q? For one his so called cocaine addiction problems at age 13 are dubious at best. Secondly he hit the Vietnamese man in the head with a stick and he was NEVER blinded. He had already lost an eye during the Vietnam War. Get the story right. He pleaded to felony assault. Markymark was barely in the single A ballgame of banging. Q was in the majors by 16. Hell, he'd kill you for looking at him wrong. He would surely kill you for 10K but was quite willing to work at a deep discount for family and friends. He kill you for nothing if it involved a girl with free cooz and a place to shack. But there was a good side to him. He'd try to cripple guys by shooting them in the legs, giving them a lesson that he would be back and finish the job if the vic didn't unF*&^ himself. Virtually none of these thug rats "turn it around" and none of them become astronauts.
Perhaps we should be giving out guns to gang bangers so they can do more of this public service.....right?

Why? Do you have a plan for pay for view? The bangers are well armed and as in all business the market determines the need. Besides they get enough free stuff as it is.
The law abiding citizens of Baltimore should all be be encouraged by their governments to carry concealed handguns. The City of Baltimore's government should provide guns to those who can't afford to buy one.
