I'm glad Rick Santorum has gone (and don't let him back as VP or anything else). This is what he said about libertarians in a 2005 interview-

“they have this idea that people should be left alone, be able to do whatever they want to do. Government should keep our taxes down and keep our regulation low and that we shouldn’t get involved in the bedroom, we shouldn’t get involved in cultural issues, you know, people should do whatever they want. Well, that is not how traditional conservatives view the world, and I think most conservatives understand that individuals can’t go it alone”.

No Rick you are wrong, we do not want a nanny state and individuals can go it alone without interference. Keep Rick Santorum out of government.

Glad Santorum is out of the race. He makes Barack Obama look like Ron Paul.

Spoken like a true Collectivist. Rick Santorum believes that government should continuously undermine the individual. The individual - the most oppressed minority of them all.

Even worse than that, if he was in government he would try to bring in some kind of theocracy. This is what he said about seperation of church and state on ABCs 'This Week' programme-

"I don't believe in an America where the separation of church and state is absolute." "The First Amendment means the free exercise of religion and that means bringing people and their faith into the public square."

Rick, we don't need things imposed on us.

What are you talking about Rick was the best canidat out there. He is the only canidat who would put our country back on track, Restore our christian traditions and Sanctify our Marriages.
We have to get our moral values back if we want God to give our prosperity back.

In my opinion we do need more morals. Less intolerance and more open mindedness. But you can't accomplish that by "restoring our christian traditions and sanctify our marriages". Using religion to accomplish that task will upset a huge portion of the population that doesn't believe in God. Which will just cause more hate and fighting between the religious and the non religious. People should stress morals without having to reference religion. That way it applies to the human race instead of the religious.

Does that make sense? I don't mean to insult any religion by saying that. I just think it is much more effective.

Wow. I did not know that he said that. I thought he was ok until now. He basically just said "Some people believe in this wacky thing called freedom, but if elected, I'll stamp that out for you." And he also said conservatives don't believe in lower taxes and less government intrusion?! Well, it's obvious what definition of conservatism he is using: post GWB big brother neo-conservatism - which is just Draconian liberalism.

He said in the quote I posted above that "individuals can’t go it alone”.

He obviously therefore believes politicians must interfere in peoples lives. I don't like being told what to do by politicians. Also that is taking away my freedom, the very thing he purports to uphold.

The way you talk you also believe that he would be a nannying king of politician by saying he would "restore our Christian values". Like he's going to impose things on us. If people want Christian values thats fine but let them be free to choose it themselves.

A definite no to Rick Santorum.
